I agree. With Elsa and Will from ONCEWL coming, someone is going to be loosing out in S4. My guess is less Belle (less than we already see mind you)

I don’t think Belle would necessarily lose out on screentime in season 4. 1. They gave her more screentime in 3b, she was almost in every episode in some form or another rather than just disappearing for episodes on end like in season 2 and 3A. 2. They’ve got the whole Belle finds out about Rumple’s lies plotline coming up. I think they gave them that particular plot so that they could have an obstacle without being separated yet again. They had RumBelle married in the finale so I don’t think they would suddenly drop their storyline.

I think Robin will get less screentime next season, the story will focus more on Regina’s feelings rather than Robin’s feelings over Marian’s return which will probably end up making Robin look like a douchebag either way. Henry will also probably get shafted on screentime (like father, like son). Henry was barely in 3B and whilst that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing per se, the kid is the show’s biggest plot device. He had about 1 scene in the finale.

The difference is that Robin isn’t a series regular (yet, perhaps). He’s not required/expected to have any amount of screentime.

As far as Belle and her situation goes, I don’t know how much I trust the writers to deal with the consequences of Rumple’s lying over more than just an episode. Knowing them, it’ll be resolved in one episode and never brought up ever again.

And while she did have more screen time in S3B, what sort of time was it, really? She pops into scenes randomly to give information and exposition and then leaves again. Her time on screen may have increased, but I don’t know about the quality of that time.

I’m trying to be optimistic, so I hope PoM is right that the Rumbelle wedding is a sign that we’ll see more interaction between those two and Rumple’s lie about killing Zelena will be the device to provide drama between them without separating them. But I also agree with RG that Belle ws reduced to just providing convenient plot exposition for much of 3B. It’s sad that both Belle and Henry have so often been reduced to plot devices when we’ve seen that these writers can write great character development when they are at their best.

Since I haven’t seen Frozen, I’m more biased toward wanting to see more of the old characters than any new ones. So I wold hope the new characters become a catalyst for deeper stories about the original characters, but I realize that’s unlikely. If they are promoting Elsa, a lot of people will tune in expecting to see her.

I must admit that it could be fun to see some of the characters’ reactions to Elsa echoing the fans’ reactions: “How can she be here? That’s a new movie!” It would be like Henry’s reaction to finding out Dr. Whale is Frankenstein – “But Frankenstein isn’t even in the book! Who knows who’s in this town?” So I will try to remain hopeful Adam and Eddy will find a way to involve the new characters without taking away too much time from my old favorites.

IN Screentime Wise….

It’s safe to say that Elsa will take Zelena’s amount of screentime this year, which will be a lot.

As for the Knave….if Adam and Eddy are going to go with the Robin Hood Legend, and stick with the original story of Will Scarlett being Robin’s half brother on their father’s side….then I’m sure Robin will get lot of screen time with his half brother.

It’s without a doubt that Regina, Snow, David, Emma, Rumple, and Hook will get their normal loads of screen time, as for Belle and Henry…I think there’s will stay the same.

So in all….the screen time will stay the same, the only addition really being Will’s character sharing screen with Robin, Regina, possibly Hook and David.
