Eh, I don’t know if I trust Adam anymore. So much that he has said over the past year has turned out to be false. Anything that he says from here on out I’m taking with a grain of salt.
Oh certainly. But at least we have proof that they told us no originally should the Merida = RH and Zelena baby come to pass in show canon

I am going to give A&E a pass on this one… Because what they did made sense. If the casting call had simply been one that was for am actress with a Scottish accent, I think we all would have instantly figured it was Merida. Who else would have it have been if they hadn’t specified a direct connection to Rumps. So yeah, saying it was his mother was a misdirect and I get it.
I wonder, is it possible that Merida it’s the one who taught snow to… Archer things? Or maybe she is, like, RH’s sister. She will inevitably be related to somebody. Maybe she is Morgana."I could have the giant duck as my steed!" --Daniel Radcliffe

That would be a nice way of tying things back to previously established canon. We initially thought that Robin Hood was the one who taught Snow her archery skills, but it turned out that the two never crossed paths until Season 3B.

It would be a nice tie but as it stands the timeline is a mess since Merida has filmed with Emma and Peasant Rumple —which doesn’t make a lick of sense. I’m starting to think it’s a flashforward since Emma wasn’t in her DarkSwan outfit (report said green and beige dress). Meaning that it’s Future! Rumple (back to being a peasant) and grown up Merida (and I still have no idea what that means)
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"July 12, 2015 at 1:45 pm #306100RumplesGirlKeymasterOkay. I’m putting this out there because if it comes to pass, I want credit.
I think the following
1) What they filmed at the start of S5A with Rumple, Emma and Merida is a *flashforward* a la LOST
2) I think Merida is Emma and Hook’s daughter. No, I don’t know why the Scottish accent but they can make something up about her childhood and why she has a different accent. (for example: their daughter is taken from them at some point in the far future and raised away from them. Oh hey….obvious Emma parallel with Snowing is obvious) (then S5B is all about Emma and Hook trying to prevent the future of Merida being taken from them or something) (we’ve changed the past, stopped an AU…time to prevent the future)
3) I think this ties into the movie “Brave” which is really about a mother and a daughter, and more specifically a daughter saving her mother from a curse/spell/thing.
According to filming reports, JMo wasn’t in her DarkSwan outfit but a green/beige dress.
Well…
Ok. Carry on.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"July 12, 2015 at 1:52 pm #306101MatthewPaulModeratorAs for my own predictions, I feel the character of Mor’du will play a role in this Season.
From the Pixar Wiki:
A legendary monster, Mor’du is an over 11-foot-tall (336 cm) bear with huge claws, a misaligned jaw, and long, sharp teeth. His body is covered in scars, broken weapon hilts, and arrows. One of the Production Designers of the film, Steve Pilcher, calls Mor’du a “Demon bear” and “Moby Dick on land”.
However, Mor’du was not always a bear; he was originally a human prince, who wanted to rule the kingdom he shared with his three brothers alone, and went to a witch to gain “the strength of ten men” in order to take over the land, paying with the ring of his house, bearing the crest of his family, two crossed axes. The spell he received eventually transformed him into a bear, and he murdered his family, causing the fall of the kingdom. Mor’du lived on for centuries, and the bear side of him overtook his humanity, making him a monstrous beast.

Oh, the fun (headache) with SQers if this shall come to pass.

July 12, 2015 at 2:32 pm #306103TheWatcherParticipantNice catch with the dress RG. I just figured that it was another of her DO outfits.
But ugh, I really hate the idea of a flashforward. It takes away the suspense of the NOW because it reveals things to come. I mean clearly if CS have a baby, then doesn’t that mean they will eventually solve the Dark Swan situation and both Emma and hook will survive the story long enough to conceive and birth a child? Takes away some of the “anyone can die at anytime” factor.
But beyond that, I hate the idea of a Disney princess being Emma’s child. She is an original character. Her son is an original character. His father was an original character. She may be with an established character now, but I still think if she has another child, it should be an original character."I could have the giant duck as my steed!" --Daniel Radcliffe

Disney might have Adam and Eddy on a tight leash in regards to what they can do with the character, like what happened with the Frozen characters. Especially when Merida is a purely Disney-Pixar creation. Anna and Elsa were carbon copies of their film counterparts, so chances are the same will be the case for Merida. So like Anna and Elsa, I think the twist with Merida will simply be how that character interacts with the OUAT universe, while she’ll remain true to the original character.

This is my feeling as well. It was mentioned Merida’s arc should only last a few episodes. The family ties usually come into play for the characters who end up staying.
But IF she is related to anyone, I think she could be Rumple’s sister or something.
