What about Hunchback? Isn’t the anniversary this year? I was thinking they’d do an episode in honor of that (called Outcasts….)
I guess Hunchback is still possible, but it’s not considered one of their biggest films, so it could go either way. I mean, yesterday was the 20th anniversary, and the only acknowledgement I saw from Disney was a simple tweet and FB post. Still, I guess the whole theme of “what makes a monster and what makes a man” could tie well into Regina/Evil Queen and Jekyll/Hyde, if they wanted to go that route. Plus, we did see a gypsy girl in the Land of Untold Stories.
I’ll be happy with either one if they are revealed to appear.

Rumple and Felix scene was an actual scene from 301, shown at D23
The dagger scene was an actual scene from 501, shown at D23
The Merida “promo” was a teaser to inform the audience that Merida was coming in s5A (the same with the Hook promo in S2 and Ariel promo in S3) —all of which were shown at SDCC before their respective seasons.

I thought so about Rumple and Felix and the Dagger scene. But I already knew about the Merida promo.
June 23, 2016 at 2:28 am #324977TheWatcherParticipantPrincess and the Frog wasn’t a big film for Disney. It had the hype about having the first black Disney princess but it wasn’t a massive success
I don’t think that will stop them from including it. As you said, Hercules wasn’t that well received when it first came out either and it was on the show.
But given that Aladdin is a much bigger film and its already kind of been established in the canon (well, that Agrabah exist, that is) since th first season and in the spinoff, I think there is a much larger possibility that an Aladdin teaser would be coming up as opposed to a Princess and Frog one. I still think Aladdin is going to get an arc, while Tiana and the gang will get an episode. It’s season 6 guys, OUAT has gotta break out those unused characters at some stage.

July 7, 2016 at 6:22 pm #325282PriceofMagicParticipantInteresting that they are letting Jared be on the panel this year. I do hope Henry’s role is kept to a minimal though or he’s used to help with research because realistically a 13 year old shouldn’t be anywhere near battles.

Keeper of FelixJuly 7, 2016 at 6:26 pm #325283RumplesGirlKeymasterSo no new cast members? Unless they announce a surprise “new regular” like some joked about toward the end of 5
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"July 7, 2016 at 6:31 pm #325285PriceofMagicParticipantThe only “new regular” is likely to be Violet because of her “relationship” with Henry and I don’t think anyone really wants that because we don’t want valuable screen time eaten up by a tween “romance”. RumBelle already get the short end of the stick when it comes to screen time, it would be even worse if FlowerPower get more screen time because nobody wants to see Henry have Wangst.

He’s been on the past few, or at least one previous SDCC panel.
As for a new regular, normally we would have already known by mid-June, so I think we aren’t getting one. This would put the roster number back to amount we had for Seasons 2-4. If they do want to do more with Violet, financial wise it makes sense to just keep her as recurring guest star. Especially if her screentime is minimal, which it will likely be. I mean Sean was still a guest star for the entirety of Season 4, and that was just fine enough. Sean actually had more screentime in Season 4 compared to Season 5.
