Let’s see: Can we use markdown *italic* and **bold**?

    Answer: No.

    Why not ??

Did you use asterisks to get that? I like to use an external text editor for writing messages, and markdown codes are a lot easier to read as plain text than the html codes are.

This text is justified. That means it will stretch out to try and touch both sides of its container, instead of having a ragged edge on the left or right. It will only do this if there’s enough text to stretch without making it hard to read, so I’m using a lot of extra text in this example to make the effect visible.
