Why is Rumple warning Regina that she will give herself one of the worst curse immaginable. All he wanted was to cast the curse. Did he have regretes for Regina….

Check out Season 1 episode 3  in 2:50 min.

Didn’t Regina didn’t know that she could also not begin again. Not conceive a child, not find her Love….

From my point of view Rumple wouldn’t saddle Regina with that curse unless he wanted her dead or dark. Rumple is not the sort of man who would punish Regina just for spite there has to be an ulterior motive for that particular consequence of the curse.  I just can’t shake the sense that Regina’s part to play is more significant than everyone with the likely exception of Rumple knows.

The consequence of the hole could be that Rumple knew that Emma’s child would lead the Savior to SB and that child would also be Regina’s adopted son. The ONE thing Rumple didn’t count on was that Henry would be Bae’s. That never even occurred to him and he didn’t see that.

    LOVED THEM BOTH.

RUMPLE SINGS!….MY heart just exploded into great joy….But one question

So is the curse just waiting for Regina to be done taunting so she can ravage the land or is it just a slow process. Not sure.

I have to agree with RG on this I believe Rumple had forseen that the Savior would have a child and the child would bring Emma to SB to break Regina’s curse and that Regina would adopt the child & that she would come to him for help to make that happen. But I have feeling that adoption wasn’t legal and that is something we will find out in the episode. I don’t think Rumple counted on Emma & Neal(Bae) meeting, falling in love and producing Henry who we know now is the truest believer.

I think he has wider reasons for hollowing out her heart.  I’ll just cite that synergy between Emma and Regina as evidence.

I agree with much of what has been said but I’m convinced that he wanted Regina cursed for more than just petty revenge or to just be a way station for Henry until Emma came to town.  The question that I leads me to where I am is why specifically was it Regina that Rumple needed to cast his curse and considering the Mills women were not monsters until their encounters with Rumple I have to assume that Regina’s destiny is far more important that Rumple is letting on why else would he be so cryptic about why he had Regina’s teardrops for example?  In the end Regina and Emma’s connection is one that I think Rumple has tried to forestall and by keeping Regina and Robin apart by cursing her heart he precludes the possibility of the happy endings coming back (that is so long as Emma remains skeptical and refuses to take further leaps of faith)

the Mills women were not monsters

Cora wasn’t exactly a picture of mental health and happiness. She was a very angry, arrogant girl.

I get what you’re saying and I do think there is  a magical connection between Emma and Regina in that one is dark and one is light and that’s pretty powerful but I don’t think it is something Rumple wants to forestall for some end game. Afterall, he was perfectly fine with the Wraith taking her soul and having her effectively die.

    Singing Rumple is perfect.

And I’m so scared for the little lost boys now. What if Emma can’t keep her promise? *whimper*

That would be awful lol, but I think she does since in the promo it shows lost boys on the ship.

Also, where’s Neal? Emma and Regina are there so this is after Skull Rock. Wonder where he went off to. And Henry lol.
