I hope Will’s playing Belle. Which would be a horrible thing for him to do, and I’d want to slap him for it, HARD, but that just goes to show how annoyed (for want of a stronger word) I am about Will being with someone who isn’t Ana.
I hope Will thought, “If I get with the girl who runs the shop full of ALL the magical things, then I’ll get to hang out in the shop with all the magical things, and I can snoop to my heart’s content until I find a thing I can use to get back to Ana.”
I don’t much care if Belle’s got a rebound guy, (she CLEARLY still feels a LOT for Rumple, so I can’t believe that she’s genuinely 100% happy with Will in a lasting relationship kinda way), I just don’t want it to be Will.
[adrotate group="5"]March 9, 2015 at 3:16 pm #297998JosephineParticipantThe biggest problem is that it has no build up. No foreshadowing (besides the two cups he got at the beginning of the episode) in the previous episode, no hints, nothing. Like Phee said, last week she’s still visibly shaken and this week she’s kissing someone else?
They write Belle so one-dimensional. She never has a purpose outside of a man. Her father, Rumple and now Will. Why can’t she have a friend? Why don’t we see her struggle with everything that’s happened to her? This show is really not good at character development.
A part of me wishes they’d have just killed her off at the end of Skin Deep.

March 9, 2015 at 4:25 pm #298014KebParticipantShe makes a friend almost every episode she’s got backstory in. And then they NEVER EVER EVER let her talk to said friend again. EVER. (She got ONE more scene with Ruby after making friends with her…and they were both regulars at that point.)

March 9, 2015 at 6:13 pm #298038PriceofMagicParticipantThe WL episodes were took place during OUAT’s S2. This has been confirmed by A and E in interviews, twitter, and there were clues in WL itself.
It’s possible that the majority of Wonderland (from the start to Cylice’s wedding took place during season 2) but the ending where Alice is talking to her child is the future so there is a period of time between the wedding and the ending that the writers could play with.
I honestly don’t see ScarlettBeauty being a long lasting thing because it is clear that Belle is not over Rumple because of how upset she gets when he comes up in conversation. It also seems a little suspicious that Cruella and Ursula tell Rumple that Belle has moved on despite there being evidence to the contrary then all of a sudden when he sees Belle she has indeed seemingly moved on. Cruella and Ursula have only been in town 2 days, there’s no way Belle could go from tearing up at the mere mention of Rumple to jumping head first into a new relationship in such a short amount of time. That kiss though wasn’t a “friendship” kiss. Had it been on the cheek, you could assume that Rumple had jumped to the wrong idea but on the lips, that’s a more involved kiss.

There’s no way this is going to last. But if both of them truly believe (as Belle has every reason to right now, and I’m assuming Will’s situation is parallel in some way) that their True Loves are lost to them forever, it’s not cheating, either. And I’ll buy that it’s a human thing to do to try to fill the emptiness left by the loss with something or someone else.
Doesn’t mean I -like- it but I want to see how it plays out before I judge.

March 9, 2015 at 6:28 pm #298042RumplesGirlKeymasterIf this is nothing more than a distraction until a Rumbelle reunion, then it’s a TERRIBLE story. It’s a disservice to Will, Ana, WL, Will/Ana, and Belle
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 9, 2015 at 6:40 pm #298043KebParticipantI will accept it IF and only IF the relationship helps both Will and Belle find their way back to their true loves. Not a distraction (though I’m fine with it causing Rumple some serious conflict/character growth), but an actual character-driven thing–that I can deal with.
If it’s just, lookit, we’re gonna break up Rumbelle and we need a love triangle because love triangles are awesome and angsty and look how our fans react to them! then, No. Just No.

March 9, 2015 at 6:59 pm #298047SlurpeezParticipantI have two main complaints with this BookTheif romance:
1) Belle is still married to Rumple, even though he treated her badly.
2) Will Scarlet loves another woman (Anastasia).I don’t much care if Belle’s got a rebound guy, (she CLEARLY still feels a LOT for Rumple, so I can’t believe that she’s genuinely 100% happy with Will in a lasting relationship kinda way), I just don’t want it to be Will.
That is sort of how I feel, though then I wonder if that would mean I’m condoning adultery (something I just won’t do). I want Belle to be happy, even if that’s not with Rumple, but not until their marriage is officially over. Rumple has had ample chances to treat his wife right but didn’t. Belle told Rumple he’d already lost her, but in my book, Belle isn’t at liberty to date other men until she’s officially divorced from Rumple. Otherwise, Belle isn’t behaving any better than Regina and Robin when they both thought Marian was his still his wife. She’s committing adultery with Will.
My other main qualm with this ship is I don’t want Will and Ana to be over. In my heart, Will is meant for Ana, not Belle. Plus, weren’t Ana and Will married by the time Alice’s daughter read about them in her Wonderland book? They were called the White King and Queen, implying they were married at some future date.

I may or may not have just brought up the finale to Wonderland again just to see if Will or Ana were wearing wedding rings at Alice’s wedding. The were not. So the got married after Alice.
*sigh* This is just a terrible plot line all around. You risk angering not just fans of one couple but two, one if which we were shown their “happily ever after.” Will and Ana went through so much so to even insert this into the story is cheap. Bad writing is bad writing.
I complain about the writing a lot, but after this show I don’t think I’ll get involved in anymore A&E productions. I’ve also made the same decision about Ryan Murphy.
