Agreed, pretty sure this is all Mr. Gold and not Rumple. We may only have hints of what he was like before and we’ll see that it’s just his typical quips lol. Maybe he didn’t change too much.

I think the only that probably changed when Rumple got his memories back was that before Regina saw an ally in Mr. Gold, together they ruled the town, kept everyone in line. All bets were off when Emma came to town.

It’s interesting that even on day one, Regina seems a bit dissatisfied. She couldn’t force the people to love her through a curse. That’s going to parallel her desire to force Henry to love her with the Empty Hearted Curse.

I wonder if it goes back even further than we think? “Very, very long time” makes me think there’s something further back…wonder what actually started it all (and what story that would pull from)

I think we could trace this blood feud–at least for right now– back to when Cora and Ava were young girls like we saw in The Miller’s Daughter. It honestly didn’t start with Regina and Snow. I wonder if it goes back even further than Cora and Ava.

Well if it goes back to Cora & Eva I’m not sure that Rumple would consider that “a very, very long time” since to him that’s nothing and it only goes back 1 generation. Although I guess that would make sense based on what we know so far (though I hope it’s more than just tripping her for crying out loud!). Definitely eager for the context to all of this.

I’ve actually started trying to trace where the blood feud goes back to, and there’s actually a couple lines of it coming down. I’m quite sure there will be more threads added.

But where things seem to start: The Seer tells Rumple his son will be fatherless, leading to everything Rumple does. Rumple kills Milah, leading to everything Hook does. Eva trips Cora, leading to everything Cora does. It becomes Snow’s war when Cora kills Eva, and Regina’s when Snow tells Cora about Daniel. George’s grudge against David is sparked by whomever poisoned his wife…if there’s a link to Cora there, that would be fascinating, though it doesn’t become about David personally until he rejects the marriage with Abigail.

And there’s a LOT of killing and attempted killing in between, mostly Cora/Regina vs their own family and vs. Snow’s family. (Cora/Regina are responsible for Snow’s parents/nanny dying, Snow is responsible for Cora/Daniel dying, Cora/Regina actually killed Regina’s parents and Daniel…)

Keb, can we take it back even further? What about Zoso? He manipulated Rumple into becoming the Dark One which led to everything Rumple does. What about Blue? Did she have anything to do with the Dark One’s Power? This blood feud can probably go back further and further the more we find out.
