Has anyone logged on yet to ABC.com and checked out the ONCE season 2 promo photos? If not … perhaps they are worth a look.
When LOST was still on the air, these photos would “hint” at different aspects of the characters lives that season – the infamous Season 5 photo with John Locke turned around with his back to the camera was a BIG reveal. And I think these photos (thanks to our LOST influence from Eddie, Adam and series “Consigliere” Damon Lindelof) are no different.
Check out the full cast photo – many characters “seem” to be cheerfully sharing drinks or handling food while Emma and Henry are wielding weapons (well, Snow seems to also wield a weapon – the apple) … and what’s with Henry and his quiver and bow? Foreshadow perhaps?
Emma’s photo in number 2/9 seems to be quite obvious, she’s hanging up her “sheriff’s jacket” and discarding/ignoring princess gowns to take on a role perhaps more like her father – or even her MOTHER at times – a warrior.
3/9 is just awesome … Snow sharpening an array of pencils …
The other photos seem to be mirroring the theme that this season these two worlds (Enchanted Forest identities and Storybrooke, Maine – the fantastical and mundane) will merge into one and our characters will have to be “both” …
Except for two photos – Rumple’s photo of him sitting with his dagger on the floor and knitting needles and a half, finished scarf at his side (thoughts anyone) and the photo of Red out walking a wolf in FULL MOON. She IS wearing the cloak after all, but does this photo have other connotations?
OR … is this all just whooey and I’m barking up the LOST tree too many times …

Does anyone else find it odd in the first group promo pic that Belle (happily) and Rumple (reluctantly) both seem to be toasting to Regina? David too, really. I wasn’t a big Lost-watcher, but if the pictures DO mean something, I wonder what that’s all about.
They are super fun pics though. xD I’m especially in love with the fact that Snow is sharpening a billion pencils in a ballgown. And that Rumple is knitting a gold scarf. I assume out of the gold yarn he spins. xD
I also really like the one of Emma in the armor. I bet she’s going to have as much influence in FTL as in Storybrooke. I bet Snow could teach her a few tricks, too. haha.
saimejoxxers – Belle DOES seem to be carelessly naive about the whole thing doesn’t she. And Snow and Emma do tend to be looking at each other as if in suspicion about this whole toasting with Regina.
And if we ARE to read into this group photo – as has been done with past LOST cast photos, then are we to suspect that a deal will be struck with Regina as a new threat rises? Here’s why:
1) What is a toast? It is a coming-together of parties under one banner – either to celebrate someone (as in a birthday, anniversary, etc) or to break bread in celebration of a new endeavour. What IF they are toasting a coming together to fight an unknown, but equally threatening foe…
2) Henry – our little prophet (although, Eddie and Adam have admittingly said that he didn't KNOW about it all as it was more of a hunch that came to be fact as he bit into the poisoned apple-turnover) is standing up, looking over the parapet, armed – as if expecting a foe. His mother, Emma, stands ready, sharpening her sword – meaning perhaps that she is also expecting to go into battle. She stands doing this, while looking at Snow … who is peeling an apple … a fruit that has been USED as a weapon for unsuspecting … or suspecting … foes.
3) Both Charming and Red – though bearing food to celebrate with – both look as if they don't fully trust the smiling, reclining queen.
4) Belle is naive about the whole thing … or is she IN on it?! No … she's probably just naive …and 5) last but not least … Rumple. He is not toasting ANYONE! Instead, he is holding a golden chess piece – not black, not white. And it appears to be a queen. Two things arise out of this: 1) it's gold. Not black or white. This could be interpreted as he's not following the standard “rules” but making up his own. OR he's playing his own game with his own motives. (I also love the “black and white” tip of the hat to Eddie and Adam's beloved LOST here too…)
6) Finally, the sky. There is a storm brewing … darkness is falling and the clear “happy ending” blue is no where to be found …

For Rumple chess set pic. [ I agree that he is holding up a golden queen. I think the queen refers to Regina and the gold part to King Midas. Not sure if that implys a relationship between the two either family wise or perhaps a deal..
The picture of Snow sharpening pencils makes me think she is using them as a weapon. Maybe she is trapped and needs them.
The picture of Rumple and the scarf does seem to tie in with the fact he spun straw into gold. Might as well put that gold yarn to use. Perhaps, Belle kniitted it for him. Another thought was the scarf was used to escape. I like the possiblilitie of Belle making it but he didn't find it until after she left.
The picture with Henry in front of the school with a horse. In his backpack is a shild with 7 astericks type stars. I wonder if that is the 7 dwarves or 7 lands/kingdoms? Also he is wearing a badge. Maybe he is acting as a deputy.
The main picture with all of them. Red is hold up a tray of hot dogs. Since there are three and hot dogs are usually made out of pork, I thought of the 3 little pigs story.
The picture of Belle at the diner. She is pouring tea into of the chipped cup. Perhaps she will work there. But she is distracted and the cup overflows. Who distracted her? On the counter looks like Jordan Almonds. But i am wondering what is written on the back chalk board? I can't read the writing.@MerryLeeplaying wrote:

I agree with the Rumple bits … Thought I included that in the original post – guess not. Also agree with the Red point too! Though I think it’s just a sight gap and a nod to the fact that she’s also the wolf … Perhaps we’ll see the story behind the hot dogs later this season!
