With Season 4 just concluding its run, we already have news on the DVD/Blu-Ray release. TVShowsOnDVD confirmed that it will be released on August 18th. Shocking to nobody, Elsa will be on the cover, and I’m sure it will help sell plenty of these sets:
I’m actually surprised they aren’t using this photo as the cover:
I suspect like with the Season 3 cover, the other cast members will appear on the bottom in a lenticular slipcover.

I saw something this morning on twitter that UK gets Season four on Netflix ahead of us (Americans).

May 11, 2015 at 4:48 pm #304576RumplesGirlKeymasterNot surprised that Elsa is on the cover but to make her the focus of it–a character who was only in 11 episodes–is just…*wrong* Yes, yes I know that the regulars will appear when you twist the cover or whatever but…*sigh*

May 12, 2015 at 1:34 am #304619kranenParticipantTo connect the two half seasons together, I would have been fine if they kept the Frozen apple and icicles there but had Maleficent’s face instead of Elsa’s.
But it’s ridiculous how it’s only focusing on one half of the season!
May 12, 2015 at 1:58 am #304620Bar FarerParticipantIt’s going to be like last year. Everything on the cover was Neverland, the synopsis was about the Wicked Witch. The synopsis this time will probably be about Cruella or something…

Looking at the cover with only a glance, most people wouldn’t know it was Elsa (which is also why I thought they use the other one with her blasting ice). But Maleficent and Cruella are very recognizable (Ursula isn’t dressed the way people would normally see her so they wouldn’t know who she was) and having Elsa standing there next to then would have created intrigue. Plus, ya know, the Jolie-Maleficent movie did well so people would look at the cover probably thinking it was that if Mal were on it. But yeah, for what it’s worth, its a pretty cover nonetheless.
