I would like to add another discussion point, in regards to Season 4A in review. What would you say was the biggest missed opportunity? For me, I would say I wish they had taken plot points mentioned from previous Seasons that could have easily tied in to the Snow Queen or Elsa. That would have been organic. We were told that Snow White was born during the harshest winter. Not only would the show have been able to cover such a pivotal moment for a core character, but Ingrid could have been responsible for that winter. We were also told on Once Upon A Time in Wonderland that Will Scarlet’s sister, Penelope, died in a frozen lake. Exploring that story would have given Will more to do in this story arc. Granted, timeline wise I’m not sure when or how Ingrid would have fit into Will’s story, and Elsa probably would have been too young. Nor would I think the Mouse House would allow Elsa to be responsible for somebody’s death, accidental or not.

I rarely get to re watch the show and living with a 6 yr old I do not get to watch closely. WHY he picks 8 pm on Sunday night to act up I will never understand… but every Sunday it is the same story…
I prefer to keep up with what I can but do not examine any of the episode in detail until I get the DVDs then I usually re-watch several times before the show starts up again.
I rarely get lost in the SHIPS … do not worry about who is with who… I enjoy the acting because as a whole no matter how silly the plot the acting is good…. I think that is why we all like the show.
GRADE … B… I will watch it again and enjoy it just as much.

100% agree, sir. There were a lot of ways to connect Elsa and Anna and that story to the characters we already had.
I also want to pick up on something @Onceaholic said which is that they could have easily done the SQ storyline WITHOUT Frozen. The SQ/Liz Mitchell was the best part of the overall arc, for me. And throwing in Frozen and all that was very “kitchen sink” writing–we didn’t need all that.

Shattered Sight was just in all the most heartfelt episode to me…and the funniest. From Snow White’s snark(which she seems to have rubbed off from Step Mama) to Snowing fight, to Evil Queen returning and battling Bad Girl Snow, and Ingrid’s sacrifice brought tears out of me! Dang it, why did Elizabeth Mitchell have to be so perfect with her job!
2. Least Favorite: White Out
That Bo-Peep episode….just no…just no. The only highlight of that to me was Emma and Elsa’s meeting, and Henry FINALLY moving back home with Regina.
3. Overall Thoughts of 4A: It Was A Fun Ride To Only Ride Once
This was a pretty fun season, even though it was 60% Frozen and 40% Original Once…Georgina Haig and Elizabeth Lail were flawless as Elsa and Anna, Kristoff’s actor(forgot his name) was pretty good with the character, but Elizabeth Mitchell was the star of the 4A to me! Rest In Peace Ingrid!
4. Favorite Moment/Arc
Favorite Moment: Robin finally staying true to his character, following his heart, and choosing Regina! It took eight episodes to get to that point, but it was well worth it! Not only did OutlawQueen win MTV Respect, but they were on the list of Sexiest Scenes of the Year! My babies…Fate will unite them soon!
2nd. 4×11 Belle stopping Rumple, and sending him packing, well…not packing, across the town line! He’s gotta earn that love back!
3rd: Everyone is going to disagree with me…but Breaking Glass Regina and Emma was necessary to happen. It allowed Regina to vent everything that’s been building in her for four seasons, and just letting it go at Emma, who like a good friend just nodded, took it, and like patted her on the shoulder. It sounds really bad and really crappy, but Emma earned my respect again because she just let Regina have her crazy moment, and at the end we can see it was all out her system finally. No matter what you think…Emma was sorta the reason Regina lost her happy ending, and she accepted responsibility, and earnestly apologized for somewhat screwing her life up…not as much as her mother did, but damage was still done. And please…don’t bring the whole “but Regina cast the Dark Curse which caused Emma to grow up alone”, and yeah…without Regina casting the Dark Curse, there would be no SwanFire that made Henry, and there would be no CaptainSwan now….so…yeah. Now Emma and Regina are drinking buddies/on the way to best friends….you can’t have the calm till after the storm.
Arc: Operation Mongoose really intrigues me…who the heck is the Author if it’s not Yen Sid!
5. Best Frozen Adapted Character
Elsa hands down…Georgina Haig slayed the role, especially the “Chocolate” moment. Biggest shocker is…I really really can’t remember if Elsa ever said “Let It Go.” Not even once…what about anyone else?
6. Biggest Missed Opportunity
Having A Memory Montage of Elsa doing “Let It Go”….I wanted to see her build the Ice Castle so badly!!!
7. Final Grade for 4A
Can I just add something as well…what’s on your Wish List for Season 4B.
Wish List:
The Author…SOMEONE FIND THIS AUTHOR!!!!

Off the top of my head, if they don’t tell me what happened to Anastasia and Will I might do a nutty and hurt someone.

1) I agree with you about the Author, which is a sure thing for Season 4B.
2) I agree with RG that I want an answer as to why Will and Anastasia aren’t together, and it better not be that she died or even worse turned evil again.
3) With Maleficent, I finally want to see the backstory with Aurora and her mother. I just want Maleficent and Aurora to finally share screen time, period.
4) With Ursula on the show, I want more Ariel.December 16, 2014 at 2:28 pm #293470darkones1fanParticipantOkay a wish list for me in Season 4B
1. Epic Battle’s (Rumple v Regina would be nice)
2. Finding out the authors.
3. Seeing the relationship of the Queens of Darkness and all the other stuff going in the EF at the time.
4. Closure for Rumbelle in one way or another.
5. Maleficent being awesome! She’s one of my Fav Disney Villains do her justice!
December 23, 2014 at 9:15 am #293923obisgirlParticipant1) Favorite episode of 4A?
I think it’s between Fall, Shattered Sight and Heroes and Villains. Visual wise, Fall is beautiful.
I realize there were moments that were laggy in Fall but visually, the last moments were stunning.
As for Heroes and Villians, I think if Belle had not taken care of business, then this would not even be counted. But I loved the angst from everyone.
Shattered Sight – Ingrid’s final moment in the cave, Elizabeth Mitchell did an awesome job. I’m going to miss her.
2) Least favorite episode of 4A?
Breaking Glass. As an Emma fan, I think I despised all the present day stuff with Regina and Emma.
3) Overall thoughts on the Frozen storyline?
The Frozen cast was brilliant. I love them all, even Hans. All of the actors and actresses were so perfectly cast. They were all so wonderful and Elizabeth Lail, not bad for your first acting gig. I wish her the best of luck in the future. She was so adorable as Anna and Georgina was perfect as Elsa. I’m going to miss hers and Emma’s friendship.
4) Favorite moment or arc within 4A?
Its so hard to pin point one because I think there’s stuff I loved from each episode.
Emma asking Hook out on a date.
When he showed up at the Sherrif’s office at least the end of Breaking Glass and she let him look at her childhood box and him wanting to know more about her.
Belle saving Hook in the winter finale and finally coming to terms with the person Rumple is. I can’t think of a better way that could have been handled.
Seeing more Emma flashbacks in Heroes and Villains. Abby Rose, the girl who plays teen Emma, is awesome. And I loved her interactions with Ingrid.
5) Best Frozen Adapted Character?
All of them
December 24, 2014 at 5:49 am #293967onceaholicParticipantWish list for 4B
-Filling in the plot holes from the previous season and a half (a pipe dream, I know).
-More focus on the core characters.
-Finding the author, if he/she/it exists. (Merlin?).
-Finding out more about the hat: Who else is in there? Is there another world or universe in there?
-Finding out more about Lily and that star on her wrist.
-Finding out more about Robin’s back story: Did he come from landed gentry? Was his king Richard the Lionheart, hence the tattoo? Did he really ”steal” Marian? Why is Robin’s perception of what happened to Marian and what really happened so different? Did Marian tell him that Regina was going to execute her in the past and what was his reaction? etc.
-Finding out what happened to Will and Anastasia
-An explanation as to why the fairies only get involved to help at the last minute.
-More light magic from Regina, pretty pretty please!
I am not really interested in these three new antagonists, tbh. I would like to see Maleficient and Regina argue things out and make peace by Regina promising her her HE. That’s about it, really.

January 4, 2015 at 12:02 am #294448TheWatcherParticipantOkay so I know im late but here I go:
1)Favorite episode of 4A?
So I tried to figure out which episodes were my favorite and least favorite…. But honestly I couldn’t. This season, while I did like a good bit of it, is the only one that I just couldn’t…idk, it just wasn’t all that. I really cant pinpoint why, I just feel a lot didn’t really happen to move the story that much further >> like, okay, we got a bit more backstory for Emma but other than that, most of the stuff was frozen-ish and what wasn’t frozen-ish that actually applies to the main characters (the author, regina and robin actually meeting, the sorcerer, etc) wont be touched on until 4B. So yeah, idk what my favorite episode was but I will just go with Heroes and Villains because the queens of darkensss were just awesome. And for the Belle/Rump scene.
3) Overall thoughts on the Frozen storyline? Pointless. It feels odd for me to say that because I jumped up and down when Elsa appeared out of that urn, but really though I think I could have done without all of it and just been fine. I loved the story, I guess. I just wanted more OUAT and less Frozen.
4) Favorite moment or arc within 4A? Belle casts out Rumpel! I was SO worried that Belle would just be some kind of doormat and do nothing but Belle made a boss move in what she did and it was the right thing to do even though I know it probably tore her heart apart to do it. This was hands down the BEST scene of 4A.Â
5) Best Frozen Adapted Character? Kristoff. He was the only character who seemed like he was the exact copy of his Disney version. Elsa was kinda too dependent on Anna at points. Anna was a wee bit “flighty” as someone said. I would actually say Pappie (?) was the best but I think that’s cheating 😛
6) Final Grade for 4A: C+ It wasn’t terrible. I’m just not dying to rewatch it ever again. This is the first season of OUAT where I wasn’t constantly playing episodes over and over again. Like, there was one epsode I replayed like three or four times and I cant even remember which it was -.- this season was okay. No great, just good enough. I hope the second half proves to be more interesting and judging by what we know so far, it will be.
