TALES FROM THE UNDERWORLD: A KNIGHT WITH CRUELLA – Set in the Underworld and featuring Cruella and an all-new ONCE character portrayed by a special, surprise actor (James Marsters). Cruella has been left behind in the Underworld at the end of the season, and we didn’t exactly learn her fate… until now.

Ok, this honestly sounds amazing! I can’t wait to see this!

This will probably be the highlight of the dvd. I hope this feature is released early online. James Marsters is always a good actor (though he will forever be remembered as Spike from Buffy).

Normally at least one of the DVD/Blu-Ray special features are previewed at SDCC.

SDCC 2013 – They showed a sneak peek at Good Morning Storybrooke from the Season 2 DVD/Blu-Ray.
SDCC 2014 – They showed the Inside the Writers Room segment from the Season 3 DVD/Blu-Ray.
SDCC 2015 – They showed a sneak peek at The Three Who Stayed (Random people who stayed in Storybrooke after 4A, including one played by Patton Oswalt) from the Season 4 DVD/Blu-Ray.

I could very easily see them previewing this Tales from the Underworld segment at this year’s SDCC next month.

Any one wanna predict the Episode Commentaries?

    My guesses:

501— Jennifer Morrison, Adam and Eddy

    506: Amy Manson

516: The Writers and Greg Germann

    522/23: Adam and Eddy, Lana

We already know that a commentary for “Birth” with Colin O’Donoghue , Jerome Schwartz and David H. Goodman exists, as it was released to iTunes for those who had a Season pass for Season 5. I expect that will be included on the Blu-Ray. I don’t recall ever getting commentaries with any of the guest stars, so I’m not expecting ones with Amy and Greg. If 516 gets a commentary, it would probably be with Bex. Or maybe they’ll do a commentary for 519 with both Bex and Lana.

Extended cuts of 522 and 523 are apparently included? Interesting… Nice to see that the gag reel is a good length, and more along the lines of Season 4’s rather than Season 3’s pitifully short reel.

As for why these are listed separately from the previous ones I listed, perhaps these are the Blu-Ray exclusives that won’t be on the DVD version? The Blu-Rays always get something extra. Another interesting note is that the “Only You” commentary seems to have the total runtime of both 522/523, so perhaps the commentary covers both? Oh, and if all of these deleted scenes from both posts are really included, then that’s a lot of deleted scenes. I’m perfectly all for more deleted scenes over other fluff. The Season 4 Blu-Ray also head a wealth of deleted scenes, compared to Seasons 1-3.

    A review of the Blu-Ray on Blu-Ray.com: http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Once-Upon-a-Time-The-Complete-Fifth-Season-Blu-ray/154204/#Review

Apparently there are only 3 commentaries. “The Dark Swan” with Adam, Eddy and Jennifer, “Birth” with Colin, David H. Goodman, and Jerome Schwartz (which was already released for iTunes Season pass holders earlier this year), and “Only You” with David H. Goodman and Andrew Chambliss. That’s kinda disappointing, as there are usually at least 4-5 commentaries. You’d think the commentaries would be the cheapest and fastest bonus features to produce. However, it looks like we have a wealthy amount of deleted scenes (18 of them at about 20 minutes total) and bloopers (almost 6 minutes long).
