Ratings are in for episode 5×22 “Only You” (airing at 7pm) and episode 5×23 “An Untold Story” (airing at 8pm)
Eyeballs: 3.82 million
Demo: 1.1
That was just 5×23. 5×22 was:
Demo: 1.3.
Eyeballs: 4.31 Million.

Thanks. I figured it had to be higher.
That’s not a terrible drop and that’s the highest demo we’ve had in awhile. Interesting that we lost people during our normally scheduled viewing hour, though.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 16, 2016 at 11:40 am #323899RumplesGirlKeymasterOverall this arc the ratings were solid and steady. We began at a 1.3 and the first hour of a finale was a 1.3 as well, which almost never happens. We did dip to a new series low at Easter (5×15) to a 1.0 but quickly rebounded the very next week and then held steady for the remainder of the season. It’s important to recognize that ABC considers the Easter episode in its own category because Easter is a holiday that really messes up TV overall.
While the demos are low, the steady factor matters more right now. Ad buyers see that the audience for OUAT is loyal and committed to watching from start to finish, and more importantly watching LIVE from start to finish. I’m sure they’d love the demo ratings/eyeballs to be higher but given the state of network TV in general, steady is good enough. It’ll be interesting to see what or ad buy is for S6. I don’t know that it’ll go up as much as it did in between S4 and S5, but it will likely increase some.
As for what happens now, S6 ratings definitely matter but if the show stays in that steady spot (even if it’s a low steady), if OUAT keeps making $$ for ABC, and if A and E keep saying they have more to tell…then I’m no longer convinced that S6 is our last. For sure, we’re getting a full 22/23 episode order for S6. S7 is a distinct possibility now and unless we totally bottom out in S6 (like going fractional, which we managed to avoid by the skin of our teeth this year) I’m not so sure when the end date might be.

Which is ridiculously steady.
1st hr. 1.3
2nd hr 1.1
Evened out to a 1.2.

I wasn’t sure what Adam meant by that either, unless he’s just taking 522 into account (which would be odd…)

So it’s looking like we’ll have a 1.2 given to both episodes, once final ratings are in. Still not bad.

Nope not bad at all. But Adam is completely incorrect in what he posted and that’s why he retracted.

For our own records
that said, both 5A & 5B were incredibly stable. Both essentially ending where they started. Which made us happy!

But this isn’t entirely true either. S5A fell .5 from beginning to end. 5B did start where we ended and 5A did start where 4B ended (also a 1.8) but…there was a drop in between 5A and B.
Season Five-A Premiere Ratings: 1.8 (“The Dark Swan”)
Season Five-A Finale Ratings: 1.3 (“Swan Song”)
Season Five-B Premiere Ratings: 1.3 (“Souls of the Departed”)
Season Five-B Finale Ratings 1.2 (“Only You/ An Untold Story”)

The noticeable drop happened right after “Birth”/”The Bear King”. Those two episodes got a 1.6, and “Broken Heart” returned with a 1.3. Granted the show always returns low after Thanksgiving, but the Dark Hook twist and “The Bear King” altogether likely turned viewers off at the time.
