How fast and how low we drop really depends on how many dedicated viewers remain. The lower you drop, the more the audience consists of die-hards. The last 6 weeks of 4B remained relatively flat averaging a 1.7, which could give us an idea on how large the die-hard audience is. Currently “Heart of Gold”s 1.6 is the series low, so I think dropping below that will be the next big sign to look out for.

I agree with this. If we hit something below 1.6 then it means the die hards are starting to find something else to watch(always assume they are watching in the next few days)

Are there any noteworthy cable shows that air during Once’s timeslot? Regular networks wise, Once’s only direct competition is Football, the Simpsons, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Madam Secretary. Once tends to do fairly well against them on an average basis.

Nope. TWD is on at 9 in the Fall, and GoT is on at 9 in the spring. Those two would sink us otherwise.

First bit of ratings news is in for episode 502 “The Price”

This is NOT the demos but the over all shares. We’ll get the demo shortly.

“Once Upon a Time” at a depressed 3.3/ 5 in the overnights from 8-9 p.m. (#4). Comparably, that was 11 percent below the week-ago season-opener (which resulted in 5.92 million viewers and a 1.8/ 5 in adults 18-49, based on the Live + Same Day data), and 31 percent below the 4.8/ 7 in the overnights one year earlier.

Live Ratings are in for episode 502 “The Price”

    Overall Viewers: 5.33 million

    Demo: 1.8

We held stead in the demo but did drop in overall eyeballs from last week (last week = 5.88 million). However, holding steady was mostly expected.

Should also note that Quantico is still a 1.9, despite lead-in Blood and Oil dropping to a 1.2. Should be interesting to see if Quantico remains higher than OUAT for the next few weeks.

Oof at that lead in to Quantico. Next week being the premiere of TWD, Blood and Oil is dead in the water. And yes, it will be interesting to see if Quantico can hold. It’s been awhile since ABC had a solid 10pm performer (well, one that stayed solid, that is)

Live+SD ratings are in for episode 502 “The Price”

    Viewers: 5.38 million

    Demo: 1.8

So, we really stayed the same with a very small uptick in overall eyeballs.

Worth noting that Quantico stayed the same as well at a 1.9, so they were still the #1 scripted broadcast show of the night, a title OUAT held for many years.

SpoilerTV has updated their Cancellation Prediction Table. Remember, the closer a show is to 3.0 the more likely it is to get the axe. As expected, OUAT is in the safe “green” area right now with a 2.82. That’s close to the 3.0 and close enough to merit concern if the demos tick down this season (which they invariably will).

Worth noting, though, that it’s the fourth ABC show on the list, after Last Man Standing (comedy) and Castle (drama) and Blood and Oil (drama). LMS and Castle and Blood and Oil are going to get the axe if their numbers don’t improve–and they likely won’t. While ABC might not want to lose three dramas in one year, OUAT does have its head on the chopping block, it’s just a matter of if there is a stay of execution or not.
