ModeratorSpoilerTV has updated their Cancellation Prediction Table. Remember, the closer a show is to 3.0 the more likely it is to get the axe. As expected, OUAT is in the safe “green” area right now with a 2.82. That’s close to the 3.0 and close enough to merit concern if the demos tick down this season (which they invariably will).
Worth noting, though, that it’s the fourth ABC show on the list, after Last Man Standing (comedy) and Castle (drama) and Blood and Oil (drama). LMS and Castle and Blood and Oil are going to get the axe if their numbers don’t improve–and they likely won’t. While ABC might not want to lose three dramas in one year, OUAT does have its head on the chopping block, it’s just a matter of if there is a stay of execution or not.

Another factor to consider is that ABC still has a bunch of other shows that haven’t started airing yet this Season. This includes more veterans plus new shows for the Spring. How all of those shows do will play a large role, too. These are the remaining shows:
Agent Carter
American Crime
Galavant
Of Kings and Prophets
Secrets and Lies
The Catch
The Family
The Real O’Neals
Uncle Buck
Wicked CityHere are the TV Grim Reaper’s (the former Cancellation Bear’s) current predictions: http://www.tvgrimreaper.com/2015/10/06/abc-predictions-blood-oil-is-certain-to-be-canceled/354/
OUAT still has 4 smiley faces, and is in the middle of all shows.

ModeratorFor whatever reason, TVByTheNumbers has adjusted OUAT’s renewal chances to 4 smiley faces, matching it with the Reaper’s prediction:

How…odd. Well, more optimistic than I would think, I guess.

To be fair, both sites are going off their predictions solely by the ratings they see each week, and aren’t making assumptions of future ratings. This makes sense, because honestly it’s anyone’s guess how much the ratings can change week to week. Especially this early in the Season.

ParticipantI was thinking it over and I actually do think OUAT will get a season 6 but it will be the last season and might be a shorter season and they’ll advertise as the final season that gives A&E and entire summer to create this epic finale storyline (the final battle maybe?) and they’ll end it on a high itstead of being taken of the air without much resolution
If you think about the last longish running show that ABC ended was Revenge and before a cancellation was announced the show was pulling in 1.0 ratings- OUAT is currently at 1.8 a far cry from a 1.0 and honestly even though I’m not watching the show I can say that OUAT will probably not drop that exponentially that quickly I predict that the show’s season low will be a 1.4 but no lower if social media is any indication people seem to liking the current story arc
The only thing in my mind that could contest this idea is that I think that this is a contract year and that OUAT is a fairly expensive show to create but I think if they are told that the next season will be the end then the actors will stick around and ABC might throw the show some money
But yeah I predict a season 6 renewal

KeymasterAnyone want to predict tonight’s ratings for 503, “Siege Perilous”?
RG’s guess: 1.7 (bit of a drop with AMC airing TWD marathon leading up to the S6 premiere at 9)

Hmm…I’m thinking we’re going to remain a little flat. 1.8

ParticipantTHIS is the kind of show that looses viewers over time … but rarely gains them since it is too hard to catch up once you miss episodes…. YES it is easier with the INTERNET but there are only 24 hours in a day so it is still hard to get caught up…. unless you make and effort.

KeymasterEarly ratings analysis for episode 503 “Siege Perilous” are in. Remember these are NOT the demo’s, just the overall plus some thoughts.
led into “Once Upon a Time” at a diluted 3.1/ 5 from 8-9 p.m., which slipped by 33 percent from the 4.6/ 7 one year earlier.
Demos will be out in a few hours but that’s not too far off from where we were overall last week. Slight slippage but nothing drastic from what I can tell.
