Just worth a mention that SpoilerTV have updated the cancellation predictor table. Our chances of being cancelled have dropped dramatically according to that. We were at 2.82 last week (being at a 3.0 puts it in the danger zone). We are now at 2.42.
The shows on ABC shows on the list (which are already airing) include:
-Nashville (3.44)
-Blood & Oil (3.11)
-Last Man Standing (2.96)
-Castle (2.89)
-Dr. Ken (2.59)
-Once Upon a Time (2.42)
-Quantico (2.23)
-The Muppets (1.91)
-Agents of Shield (1.81)
-Fresh of the Boat (1.79)
-The Middle (1.60)
-Blackish (1.49)
-How to Get Away With Murder (1.48)
-The Goldbergs (1.44)
-Grey’s Anatomy (1.41)
-Scandal (1.15)
-Modern Family (1.14)Full table: http://www.spoilertv.com/2015/08/spoilertv-cancellation-predictor-table.html
[adrotate group="5"]October 14, 2015 at 10:04 am #309908RumplesGirlKeymasterYeah I saw that. It’s quite a (positive) drop even with us getting a 1.6 this past week. I do think at this point, unless something drastic happens (ie: really sharp fall), that we’re getting a season six (and probably a full order at that). ABC isn’t going to want to lose 4 dramas in one year (and maybe/probably two comedies).

C+3 ratings are the ratings that advertisers actually pay for, which are rarely seen by the public. C+3 ratings are based on how many viewers within 3 days watched all of the commercials of a show: http://www.tvgrimreaper.com/2015/10/14/c3-commercial-ratings-vs-livesame-day-program-ratings-from-week-1-do-they-change-the-prediction-picture/479/
As you can see, there’s not a significant difference between Live + Same Day compared to C+3.

That’s really interesting. It goes back to what you said maybe 3 pages ago–we’re down to a group of very loyal viewers who are going to tune in, but that’s about it. We won’t be picking anyone else up and the key, then, is not to lose the loyal viewers. And…thus far…it looks like we’re not.

RENEWAL PREDICTION….. TV LINE tends to be pretty accurate
October 19, 2015 at 9:39 am #310314RumplesGirlKeymasterFirst bit of ratings analysis for episode 504 “The Broken Kingdom”
“Once Upon a Time” scored an identical 3.1/ 5 in the overnights in the 7-9 p.m. daypart. Comparably, this was a loss year-to-year of 34 percent for “Once Upon a Time” (versus a 4.7/ 7 on 10/19/14)
So, we’re probably going to be getting a 1.6 or 1.7 in the demos when they come out later today.

Viewers: 4.85 million
Demo: 1.6
We’re losing eyeballs, but the demo remains steady. However, if more eyeballs leave, the demo will start to drop again.

I honestly can’t see Once going beyond a season 6 at most. I think season 5 is it. As you said in an earlier post RG, we’re down to the loyal viewers, and Once is even starting to lose them. Once has lost it’s heart. It’s an empty shell of its former glory.

It’s interesting that both OUAT and Quantico keep staying flat at the same level. Most new Sunday shows on ABC gradually fall rather quickly. If Quantico continues to do that well, it’s definitely staying in that timeslot.
