Thrilled to announce that #OnceUponATime has been picked up for season 6! Thank you ABC and thank you to the most extraordinary fans ever!

I’ll get started on a S6 section, but until then, discussion for S6 should go here and then I’ll move stuff after.
For what it’s worth, Matt and I are both thinking that whether it be a full 22/23 or an abbreviated 13 episodes, we won’t know until the upfronts
YES! Now please make that the final season.
I’m just really surprised that they made it official so early rather than holding it until a day or so before the Upfronts. This is probably the earliest ABC renewal in years. I think I like Channing!
I think the episodes number and whether or not it’s the final season depends on the ratings of 5B.

I agree. We’re gonna be watching those pretty closely.
For those that aren’t really playing along, Quantico, Fresh of the Boat and The Goldbergs have all been renewed too. And according to Deadline, Modern Family and the Shondaland shows (Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder) are all expected to get their renewals today as well.
To all asking about renewal announcement timing: It’s a combination of PR priorities & contract logistics.

I said this to Matt but getting early renewals on shows that were “obvious” choices gives some stability and confidence to the ad buyers who are looking at a network that just under went a big change.
Fresh Off the Boat and Goldbergs aren’t shocking at all.
Quantico could have gone either way, but I expected it to get renewed.
Shondaland stuff almost doesn’t even need an announcement. We all know those get renewed without question.
