I think the episodes number and whether or not it’s the final season depends on the ratings of 5B.
I agree. We’re gonna be watching those pretty closely.
I think the wide success of that 100 Episode Celebration is what probably mainly contributed to OUAT’s Early Renewal…..it got a lot of good press.

March 3, 2016 at 4:49 pm #317969kranenParticipantI said this to Matt but getting early renewals on shows that were “obvious” choices gives some stability and confidence to the ad buyers who are looking at a network that just under went a big change.
Fresh Off the Boat and Goldbergs aren’t shocking at all.
Quantico could have gone either way, but I expected it to get renewed.
Shondaland stuff almost doesn’t even need an announcement. We all know those get renewed without question.
It’s pretty much this reason that I’m also expecting Agents of Shield to be renewed today as well. It’s still getting ok ratings and a 4th season is obvious due to syndication.

When are the upfronts?

@Lady_Junky @TheMatthewPaul Sorry. It's just VERY early in the process to be wonder/worrying. That info typically comes out at May upfronts

@Lady_Junky @TheMatthewPaul It's only ever really a question for sophomore shows, where Season 2 is sometimes just 13 to start.
— Matt Mitovich (@MattMitovich) March 4, 2016
@TheMatthewPaul @Lady_Junky Yes, but obvi ABC was in not looking to announce any final seasons today. Would have been denoted.

At this point i expect everything from the show and since they surprised me this year, when i thought wasnt possible anymore, im like Adam , “never say never”.
"I offended you with my opinion? Ha, you should hear the ones I keep to myself".

I disagree. I think because we’ve had six seasons with the particular set of characters we have now, you can’t just swap them out for new ones. They tried doing that with Scrubs for the 9th season and then it was promptly cancelled. If you add new characters to the roster, you have to make sure they don’t become the “scrappy” (named after the annoying little git that was Scrappy doo). At this stage of the game, Once has to keep the same characters if they want the show to continue. Whilst they might be able to get rid of a couple (Robin and Zelena), the rest are heavy hitters whose absence would cause the show to suffer.

Keeper of FelixMarch 4, 2016 at 9:39 am #318023thedarkonedearieParticipantAgreed. When you start a show with something as iconic as Prince Charming breaking Snow White’s curse with true love’s kiss, and you tell these classic fairy tale stories with these classic characters, you can’t just replace them with new ones. Nope nope nope. I will not watch, and many others won’t as well.
March 4, 2016 at 9:43 am #318024RumplesGirlKeymasterI agree with POM actually. Zelena and Robin might be the exception, but you can’t get rid of, say, Emma, Regina, Snow and/or Charming (you could very easily get rid of one, but not both) or Rumple. Those five are still the crux.
