Although it looks terrible, it’s still one of ABC’s top 3 dramas of the week. They’re struggling really badly this year.
-Grey’s Anatomy: 2.1.
-HTGAWM: 1.2.
-Once Upon a Time: 1.0.
-Notorious: 0.9.
-Conviction: 0.7.
-Quantico: 0.7.
-Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.: 0.7.
-Secrets & Lies: 0.7.I know is this week, but over all ABC shows,Designator survirvor and some comedies they have, are doing good right?

DS was not on this past week due to the third Presidential debates, however it has been performing fairly well. Comedies matter less to OUAT.

Comedies dont matter to ouat, but matter to ABC, right? to know how many shows they have to order for next year, at least i think it is, bc for example 4 comedies of 30 minutes doing great, mean that they have put 2 comedy shows of 30 min for example Modern family and the middle, making sundays at 8 really a family show at ouat hour on sundays and get more ratings that ouat on that same slot.

I just don’t know how much these ratings matter anymore, given how many people are watching shows in different ways. The show used to be really popular on Netflix for example and probably still is. I know so few people, myself included, who watch stuff live anymore.

They matter. Is Neilsen outdated? Of course. But ratings = ad money. And ad money is all ABC cares about. They do keep track of other ways people watch but watching on Netflix or watching in other ways doesn’t matter if people aren’t watching ads which bring in revenue.

Is it just ABC that is struggling, or is the trend that ratings for most shows are declining across the board?

Broadcast is in serious trouble, yes. That’s why shows are renewing shows that are getting such low ratings, because 1) you can’t cancel everything and 2) as low as OUAT is going (and sure to go lower) it’s still higher than a number of other shows; it has a pretty loyal viewer base and it will still bring in money. There was a time, not that long ago actually, when a show that got a 1.0 would be chopped for sure.

If ouat was on NBC tho , they would have announced by now was last season and would have got a cut on the episodes number, but ABC cant cancelled everything, however all will depends of how low ouat numbers may get, if they get close to 0.7 during all season, i dont see them renewing the show.
They should have simply made it like LOST, end it while on top, they should have said since the beginning S6 is last season, maybe with that, they would have get bigger ratings.October 24, 2016 at 12:29 pm #329178nonnieParticipanthttp://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/daily-ratings/tv-ratings-sunday-oct-23-2016/
