Time After Time’s mistake was having one of its main characters be a serial killer. I don’t watch shows where you are consistently stuck in the mind of serial killers.

So that’s Notorious, Conviction, and Time After Time.

Prediction on what’s next? Secrets and Lies, American Crime?

Oh, OUAT has TAT beat in that department.

Ha, that is true. They pretend they aren’t though. The characterization on Ouat though is so unrealistic as to offer no real commentary on humanity. It is more a commentary on the horror of bad writing by white straight rich men who i am not sure know anything about the real world.

I think Secrets and Lies was pretty much already silently cancelled after it finished its Season. I also recall Channing Dungey implying that it probably wouldn’t be back, when asked about it at the Winter Press Tour. I think they’ll keep American Crime on the schedule cause it’s a veteran series of theirs and its gotten them awards. I even heard that one possible reason ABC isn’t pulling it is because that would apparently make this Season of it ineligible for Primetime Emmmys. They just won’t renew it again.

I think Real O’Neals is also finished. It had only received 3 extra episodes, and 2 of its main cast members have already moved on to new pilots:

‘Spaced Out’: Matt Shively & Christine Woods To Topline NBC Comedy Pilot

Jay R. Ferguson To Topline CBS Comedy Pilot ‘Living Biblically’

Real O’Neals was their lowest non-Friday comedy, so I can’t say I’m entirely surprised that it looks cancelled. ABC has so many successful comedies right now that it really doesn’t have to keep it around.

The only drama on ABC Wednesday night is Designated Survivor which got a 1.1 last night. I have no doubt it’ll be renewed but I gotta wonder how long ABC can keep it around if it’s already heading toward fractional.

ABC have now officially cancelled Conviction and Notorious. No official press release or anything (yet) but they have removed both shows from their site.

They were pretty much cancelled the moment that ABC cut their episode orders. Actors from Conviction have also joined new pilots since.

TVLine lists OUAT as one of the shows on the bubble:

I know all showrunners pretty much say the same (including A and E) but it does sound like the producers of AoS are hopeful for the future.
