I think the musical episode could rise to a 0.9 or a 1.0 based on hype, cs wedding, as well as being a musical episode.

Quantico dropped to a 0.5 in the final Monday ratings for last night. Dancing with the Stars boosted up to a 1.8 with the help of Disney Night, and instead of benefiting from that, Quantico further declined. Ouch! Finding it harder and harder to believe ABC will renew it.

So that Writers Strike looks more and more possible each day:

    WGA Strike Authorization Voting Underway

This would not only effect OUAT, but all scripted shows, if the strike happens and isn’t settled fast enough. With Upfronts happening very soon, this would be very bad news for the networks.

I would imagine this would lead to a cut season which IMO should be what they do. OUAT’s ratings couldn’t survive another full 22 episode season.

Personally hoping for a 12 episode final season. 6 in winter and 6 in fall

In other news, Agents of SHIELD rose to a 0.8 last night. It managed to hit the highest ratings since its January return. I think if it holds up, it’s looking more possible as a renewal. This is the most unexpected rebound for me, especially considering how badly Quantico crashed recently.

I think if ABC can swing it, they’d like for AoS to stay around. It’s part of the Disney family whereas Quantico is not, despite their love of the show.

Quantico’s supposed high international sales would have to REALLY make a renewal worth it. I have a hard time believing it would be enough to keep it afloat. Hitting a 0.5 in Season 2 is just way too low to stretch for 2 more Seasons, if syndication is what they have had hopes for. If this were the CW sure, but this is ABC. I don’t think Quantico is cheap, either. Priyanka Chopra’s salary is reportedly pretty high and it films in NY.

I’m actually not too surprised at the Shield rebound…they just brought back two “dead” fan favorites, and this arc has been really strong so far. I hope they can maintain it for the last few eps…I know they’re bringing back one more “dead” character next week, and if they can get Bobbi or Hunter back, ratings should go way up.

The vote will happen on Monday, it looks like. I found this article to be really informative about what’s going on with the writers and their unions. With ABC being a fire dumpster right now, a full on writers strike is going to hit them incredibly hard.
