So that Writers Strike looks more and more possible each day:
    WGA Strike Authorization Voting Underway

This would not only effect OUAT, but all scripted shows, if the strike happens and isn’t settled fast enough. With Upfronts happening very soon, this would be very bad news for the networks.

Bad for the network, but good for OUAT’s renewal likelihood? Season 2 of Star Trek: TNG dealt with a strike by reworking unused scripts; OUAT must have a few of those.

Watching ABC’s other dramas, Designated Survivor got a 1.0 last night.

Oof. I mean compared to others not bad but this is their one dramatic hit this season.

Yep. Assuming that it gets renewed (There’s no way that it won’t), next season is going to be Quantico all over again. I’m actually looking at Quantico’s Season 1 ratings now and it’s almost the exact same pattern as Designated Survivor.

I’ve been thinking for a while that Designated Survivor is essentially Quantico 2.0. Both had promising first Seasons initially, but had steep declines. Designated Survivor already went fractional last week, partially thanks to a baseball preemption in the Chicago market. However, even this week its half hours were 1.0/0.9, so I think it’s only a matter of time that it goes fractional on a normal night. Both Quantico and Designated Survivor show that ABC is having trouble trying to launch successful new dramas that can last more than 2 Seasons.

Let me just say that if S7 is not their intended ending they better jsut brace themselves for it because I can’t imagine how bad the ratings will get to next season.

It’s completely impossible that the ratings will stay at a 0.7 for the entire year.

I think you’re likely right, but it’s possible that A&E could come up with a compelling new storyline coupled with some new acting talent that could draw in new viewers.

You gotta wonder if they imagine S7 to be some sort of wonder miracle drug.

Have to wonder what is the point in having another season, if S7 is really last one, and if they end having a smaller season of only 11 or 13 episodes, why not finish this year, with everyone happy? why making the show leave with even lower ratings, bc no way they will be able to get a rise in ratings, from now on is only getting worst.
