We could potentially hear more about OUAT’s current fate.
Did anyone take part in #AskAusiello or have a link to any new info?

I agree. I think that tonight’s AOS ratings are going to be very important. Especially if they turn out to be higher than OUAT’s musical ep, I don’t see how they would renew OUAT over AOS.
Well that’s just hopeless. It won’t be higher than the musical episode, but at least they can have a full cast.
Plus they said AOS ends on a cliffhanger so I could see that being why they keep it and end OUAT. Especially with half the cast leaving.
They said this finale can count as a series finale as well.

OUAT : 60% chance of renewal
AoS: 35%
Quantico: 20%

If it is renewed, I think it’ll be for a few reasons:
1) Even if OUAT is fairly low rated these days, there still might be enough profitability in the franchise altogether to milk it for at least one more run of episodes. It would also most certainly be cheaper than the past few Seasons with the cuts being taken into account.
2) They need scheduling filler on Sundays in the Fall before Idol arrives in the Spring. It might make more sense to just throw in a veteran or 2 in the Fall, since any new shows airing there would be forced out after only a few months anyway. Any new shows would have to wait almost a year before airing a 2nd Season, which could hurt them. It would just seem silly to spend the time and money launching a night of all new shows, only to get rid of them for the other half of the Season. The article I linked to earlier mentioned that 10 Days in the Valley, a mini-series that ABC ordered straight to series, is being looked at for a potential Fall run. Since 10 Days is a mini-series, it wouldn’t matter to air it on Sundays in the Fall, if it wouldn’t get any additional episodes regardless. However, they’d still need to find 3rd show to air alongside OUAT/10 Days, which could be another veteran like AoS or even Quantico.May 10, 2017 at 9:48 am #338157RumplesGirlKeymaster2) They need scheduling filler on Sundays in the Fall before Idol arrives in the Spring. This is the biggest reason why I still think we’re getting renewed.

And if lana did filmed the upfronts thing, is a sure thing the show will be renewed, ABc would not waste money on adding a upfront video to a show they wont renew, that is maybe what is taking ABC so long to annouce, bc A&E had to convince them that the show can continue without Gosh and JMo, and without who ever leaves.
"I offended you with my opinion? Ha, you should hear the ones I keep to myself".
May 10, 2017 at 10:57 am #338163MichaelBlockedThey can be cut from the upfronts vid. Nathan was cut from the upfronts vid when they decided to cancel Castle at the last minute. Same w/ Nashville. I think the same thing will happen to OUAT. Especially since they said the finale can act as a series finale.
May 10, 2017 at 11:21 am #338165Ranisha PittsParticipantBut if the show is canceled why bother announcing JMO exit from the series. A canceled show is everyone’s departure not just JMO. Also why announce it the morning after that big wedding musical episode thing. Unless they wanted to focus on JMO as the reason for the series ending? But not sure JMO would ever want to be the scape goat or sacrificial lamb for the series ending.
Also wonder if others are exiting the series besides JMO and rumored GOSH.
I still can see it being a shorten season of 7A or they can canceled it just as well. Of course it brings back to my question what was the purpose of JMO announcing her statement of exiting the series of a show that would be canceled anyway.
