Also wonder if others are exiting the series besides JMO and rumored GOSH.

Matt Mittovich during the FB Live with Ausiello said it was Gosh, Jared, JMo, and Emilie

AoS got a .7 this week, for whatever it’s worth.

It was steady. No drop. AOS finale ends on a cliffhanger. OUAT’s does not according to Adam and Eddy. They said it could work as a series finale, so that’s why many think they could renew AOS instead of OUAT.

The way I see it, it’s probably better for them to do it this way.

This is all A and E’s fault, they got greedy. They could have promoted this as the last season, and now look. They’re morons and should never be in charge of shows ever again. Now OUAT won’t even get the promotion it deserves for a series finale.

I think she announced because someone was going to report it and she and ABC and the show wanted to get ahead of it. It is also possible that ABC wants to see the audience’s reaction to her announcement especially after the wedding episode didn’t help the ratings at all. They may have been leaning towards renewal before the wedding episode and are now leaning toward cancellation with the lack of ratings increase and pretty much the entire fandom being well if Jennifer is gone then they are done.

Sure. But it doesn’t seem as cut and dry. As the Reaper reminds us

The little engine that could is currently ABC’s 4th lowest rated show. https://t.co/CWIZiwuHMa

So they could do one of three things:

    1) renew both–with Notorious, Conviction, Time After Time, and probably Secrets and Lies, Quantico, and American Crime Story being cancelled (and Designated Survivor slipping quite a bit in its freshman year), ABC needs a few oldies to hold the network steady.

    2) Cancel both–this is the tricky one because there are already quite a few shows that have gotten the ax; both OUAT and AoS are House of Mouse which has a lot of merch tie ins but both shows are showing signs of aging and while they might have good loyal fanbases, they aren’t as extensive as they once were.

    3) Cancel one, but not both: ratings wise, both are holding steady with minor (.1) drops. The hype of the OUAT musical did not pay off but it was still higher than AoS most recent episode and is still the highest rated non-Shondaland, non-freshman show.

Breaking news that could affect OUAT (or could not??)

    Scandal will end at S7

Media reported that the show should end with an upcoming S7 I recall. Hmm wonder if the media influence will make them cancel OUAT.

Cause there’s been countless articles come out recently that have been about ending the show this season.

From what I remember, Shonda Rhimes has always hinted that she only ever had 7 seasons planned for Scandal. The fact the media has been calling for the end has more to do with the really poor quality in narrative the past two years or so. I think it’s a…perfect storm situation, if you will. Shonda wanted to end it, critics no longer love it, ratings are down. End it on your terms, not ABCs.

(which is what A and E should have said at the beginning of six to avoid this whole stupid situation)!

Amen.  If this finale feels at all like there isn’t some sort of definitive conclusion, I’m going to be so mad.
