ABC has pulled Ten Days in the Valley, and it will air its remaining episodes on Saturdays starting in December. So essentially, it’s canceled.
______’s return could help, especially since people want know what happened to ______ and ______.
(Hey, spoiler tags don’t work in block quotes.)
I think it won’t be enough to increase the ratings.
My gut sense is that the fans who aren’t already watching season 7 — and who might care enough about this character to tune in for 7.04 — have already been so angry with the writers for years that no good can come of this episode.
The old characters just aren’t relevant anymore. Henry, Roni, and Jolly Rogers don’t have much continuity with their earlier-season selves, and parts of fandom decided long ago that the show writers only produce inaccurate fanfic regarding the established characters.

Head’s up:
While no notice has reached the reaper, apparently Friday preliminary ratings are delayed.
Unknown when they will appear.— TV Grim Reaper (@TVGrimReaper) October 28, 2017
Fast ratings for 704 are finally in. We kept our 0.5 from last week, but saw a small drop in eyeballs from 2,516 to 2,467.

Glad we at least stayed steady. Next week will be interesting; were enough people captivated by Tiana thus far to tune in live?

That’s one of the Disney films I haven’t seen, so for me she’s not a new portrayal of a familiar character. Without that backstory, she’s a generic EF character so far.

I’m curious how the general audience reacted to Belle’s death last night, as that could very well determine how stable we are next week. The reactions from most of the fandom I’ve seen has been pretty positive, with many feeling it was a very nicely written sendoff for the character.
I think the ratings might go up to 0.6 next week. Regina finding the photo will draw people in, I think.

Grim’s quick analysis. He’ll have a renew/cancel prediction update on Monday

I think if the show can keep from going lower than 0.5 in live ratings the rest of the season, there’s a real possibility for a Season 8 considering Netflix and international viewing were taken heavily into account for S7’s renewal. I would think the more diverse cast this year could help with international viewing going up too.
