I think there could be a bump for 701, but i think then it will fall. I think there are people that want to see what is going on with the new characters, and a lot of people that are glad that CS is over, but that is a fandom thing and i am not sure how much the general audience knows what is going on with the loss of all the protagonists on the show.
We haven’t seen anything of the new female protagonists either, so i am just not sure. They just haven’t promoted them. I have no idea if i am going to like them as characters or not, because we haven’t seen anything, but a few pictures. We haven’t even heard them speak. I think that is what is important. They have to introduce the new characters and make them interesting to the audience immediately. I don’t know that these writers can do that.
For me, the new protagonists and Rumpel and Regina are where the focus for the first episode should go.
[adrotate group="5"]September 29, 2017 at 4:12 pm #342262MatthewPaulModeratorABC Fall Drama premiere ratings so far:
The Good Doctor – 2.2
Grey’s Anatomy – 2.3
Designated Survivor – 1.1
How to Get Away with Murder – 1.0Major ouch for Murder, considering its previous finale was a 1.4.
Inhumans has its 2 hour premiere tonight, which many are expecting will bomb.

I have seen zero good reviews on that; most of them are trashing it as one of the worst new shows this season.

I thought it was boring, which was a surprise because of how talented the actor playing Maximus is. He didnt bring any of the intensity he had in GoT to this role. I hope the show doesn’t tie in too heavily with AoS because I think it’ll end up hurting both shows.
As for htgawm, I was also really disappointed. This season doesn’t feel as high-stakes as the other seasons.
September 30, 2017 at 12:23 pm #342275ry4christParticipantI’ll be interested to hear the numbers for Inhumans and then see how that compares to OUAT next week.
September 30, 2017 at 12:41 pm #342276MatthewPaulModeratorInitial ratings for Inhumans are 0.9 and 0.8. A little better than I was expecting, but I doubt it will hold in the coming weeks. I watched it last night, and I found it quite terrible.

Thanks for the quick response MatthewPaul. I happened to only catch the second half of the second hour so I didn’t feel like I could give it a fair assessment.

October 2, 2017 at 11:48 am #342305RumplesGirlKeymasterEvery year AdAge puts out a very fun chart that tracks how much money network TV shows get on average for commercials that air during the show. The numbers are finally up for 2017 and here’s how OUAT stands compared to 2016.
http://adage.com/article/news/tv-ad-pricing-chart/310429/
2017: $81,105
2016: $109,410
That’s quite a drop likely due to S6’s ratings and the move to Friday for S7. It’s also now one of the lowest ad share shows at ABC (and the lowest drama).

That was expected, i believe Adam even said after s6 was renewed that the reason why they got the renew was due to the big Netflix deal of the show, so is likely that ABC doesn`t even care much about the adds and ratings, as long as the show is popular on netflix.
