LOL you better just brace yourself for some abysmal ratings. If a 0.9 is what we got from all those cast announcements of farewell, well I don’t want to know what ratings will be when you only have 3 cast members left. And I fully expect those 3 will be gone if there’s another season.
It’s obvious those three would be used to play a transitional role between the seasons before putting complete focus on the new characters. Will it happen? Absolutely not. This will be the last season.
Some people really don’t understand how ratings work, unlike me. I know how ratings work and there’s a yearly trend. OUAT will not stay at the same range it was this season. It WILL drop, especially with less cast members. It’s unrealistic and almost impossible that they will stay on the same range.
The only reason LMS was successful on Fridays was because it was aimed at a demographic of people that do stay at home on Friday nights. Hardcore republican southern bigots.
OUAT aimed at families, families are not sitting around on the TV on a friday night.

Many people enjoy complaining on social media just for the heck of it. Just because people say they won’t watch next season doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t still tune into the premiere, and enjoy it enough to keep watching. I’ve also been on Facebook, Reddit, comment sections of articles, and seen a mixed response to the S7 renewal. Some hate the idea, some are on the fence, and some are thrilled. That’s evident on this forum alone, and WE are a part of the GA.

This is a really broad generalization. First, LMS isn’t the only show on Friday’s. Grimm did really well for NBC for a few years on Friday. It was the only stable show they had on Friday’s actually. I actually think ABC is using that as a forerunner since they are launching Friday’s as their “science fiction and magic night” or something. It’s what NBC did for a few years between Grimm, Hannibal, Dracula, and Constantine. If your idea that ABC’s Friday’s were aimed at a specific audience, then ABC is changing that to try and aim at another audience. Will be wildly successful, no it won’t. Not wildly. But I–and neither do you–know how ABC is defining success for OUAT S7. They might be quite thrilled with .6’s if Netflix keeps giving them cash. We don’t know.
And second, I’ll use myself as an example: not southern, the farthest thing from a hardcore Republican possible, not a bigot, and all my Friday’s are spent around the TV watching Grimm, Sleepy Hollow and when it was on, Emerald City. I watched with my mother and a collective group of best friends who are a lot like me. Maybe you’ll say I’m the exception that proves the rule but then there are a lot of exceptions. At some point it stops being a rule.

Well IDK where you were looking but every comments section I read the wide majority are done with the show and their finale was this past one.
Also what is with this crap of no ships, it wasn’t about ships in S1. Umm Snowing, Rumbelle, Ruby/guy she ate, Emma/Graham, Regina/Graham,Regina/Daniel, Cinderella/Her Prince, Grumyp/the fairy, like… maybe YOU think there were no ships in S1 but there were. LOTS of em.
RG ABC is just being polite. This show is done, it’s not getting another season. Look at the show they paired it with, Inhumans. That was the TV line mystery about a show that ABC was trying to kill and put it on it’s fall schedule in a place where they just want it to die.
People thought it was Still-Star-Crossed but it’s clearly Inhumans. Lead in from OUAT, clearly they’re not predicting that to be successful.
May 17, 2017 at 10:31 pm #338985RumplesGirlKeymasterI believe @rainbow means that shipping was not the main focus of S1—and it was not. Rumbelle got one episode and Belle stayed neatly tucked away for most of the season, Rumple’s story being more about the mystery of his son and his entanglement with Regina, Snow, and Emma. Snowing was definitely the major ship of S1 but it was written into the DNA of the show and the main premise.
Having ships = / = the show being about the ships. The focus largely shifted to focus on the romantic relationships after S3A.

I don’t think TVLine has confirmed that? At least not to my knowledge. Not saying you’re wrong but TVLine hasn’t said yet to my knowledge. Also, SSC isn’t exactly getting a prime spot. It’s getting burned off during the summer, when TV ratings are reallllly down.

3B was still very ship heavy. It was the season they established had a destined true love and when they were still in the early stages of pushing CS.

Afterwards, I believe we’ll tick down to a 0.8 by the second episode…worst case scenario being a 0.5-0.6 by the end of the first half.
Though with the new season, do you guys think they’ll split it like they’ve been doing the last few seasons, or go back to S1-S2 style.
