What I suspect will happen in the 2 part season finale is that the seer’s prediction back in episode 14 “Manhattan” about a young boy being Rumple’s undoing will come into play at some point either in episode 21 or 22 along with Regina’s quest for revenge on Snow and possibly Rumple also Hook looking for revenge on Rumple for Milah’s death could spark a trip to Neverland for Neal, Emma, Henry, David and Snow. I think the game-changer for Rumple & Neal/Bae will be 2 things 1. That he will discover most likely from Hook that Rumple killed his mother Milah. 2 That Rumple may out of fear of losing his power could go after Henry and try to kill him, which I don’t think he would do. Meanwhile on the other hand you’ve got Regina who I’m sure will most likely figure out that Rumple also had a hand in orchestrating Cora’s demise by manipulating Snow with that candle. I think despite whatever happens between Snow & Regina in episode 2×17 “Welcome To Storybrooke Regina is going continously to want to make Snow pay for killing her mother Cora. I really think that she could even go as far as also wanting to make Rumple play as well so I wouldn’t be surprised if Regina decided to go after David, Emma, Neal and possibly Henry as well. What did Rumple say to Emma, Henry, David in the promo for 2×17 “Welcome To Storybrooke” ? Something about a blood feud and Emma told him he had to stop her. I would like to think that she wouldn’t go after Henry but given this thing about a blood feud I think it’s possible she could because Henry is the grandson of both Snow & Rumple who both had a hand in killing her mother.
I don’t think it’s too far out of the realm of possibility that Neal,Emma,Henry, David & Snow could up in Neverland somehow with Rumple & Belle following them as well. Leaving Regina & Hook to cause a reign of terror for those left in Storybrooke. I think the game-changer for Neal & Rumple will be either he finds out from Hook about Rumple killing Milah or if Rumple tries to harm Henry, Which now after seeing “The Miller’s Daughter” I can’t see Rumple hurting Henry because for all intensive purposes he & Baelfire just made amends in episode 2×16 “The Miller’s Daughter” so I can’t really see Rumple doing anything that would risk his relationship with his son and going after his own grandson would definitely destroy this new relationship with his son & grandson. I think the boy that the seer told Rumple would be his undoing will be Peter Pan. Adam & Eddie did say we wouldn’t see Peter Pan this season so I’m guessing we’ll see him in Season 3 in the fall. I’m willing to bet that Neal’s past in Neverland was that of a Lost Boy and that is how I think he knows Hook.
Personally I think Robert Carlyle definitely deserves an Emmy or at the very least an Emmy Nomination for the best actor award for his role as Rumpelstiltskin because in my opinion his portrayal of that character has been outstanding. In my opinion Adam & Eddy need to make MRJ a series regular this fall for Season 3. I just love him as Neil/Bae
Thoughts anyone ?

Right away it just serves to benefit him, he’ll be close to his son, he’ll be able to have a new magical apprentice and look at how protective Emma was of him so soon. It wasn’t just that if Rumple got controlled her family was in danger it was that he is her family and she was determined to protect it. Actually I noticed the same thing with Snow despite everything they seem really open to accepting Rumple into their family. I’m pretty sure the boy that will be his undoing is Henry since the seer said the same boy who leads him to Neal would be that boy. After seeing how Neal carried himself in that sword fight I’m thinking more and more that he is Peter. Remember last season Eddy and Adam said we would see Henry’s father till season 2? But we did see Bae… so now maybe we won’t see Nealfire as Peter this season but next season we get to see all that awesomness.
Completely agree Carlyle deserves at the very least a nomination and I think MRJ will be a series regular especially if they plan on parralleling the present with his past as Peter Pan.
March 13, 2013 at 10:01 pm #179711PriceofMagicParticipantI don’t think Snow or Charming will be pleased to have Rumple as part of their family. Snow described him as one of “Two evils”. They’ll work with Rumple and tolerate him because, if they’re going to go against a powerful magic user like Regina, then it pays to have an even more powerful magic user like Rumple on their side.
Bae is going to find out about Rumple killing Milah from Hook. It’s such a big revelation, he can’t not find out. Also since it looks like Rumple and Bae have started mending their relationship, they need something to send the two of them back to square one. It’s too early to have Rumple and Bae already fully reunited.

— kidnapped by Hook and/or Regina
— chooses to go with Hook because he is afraid of Rumpel or Regina hurting those he loves if he stays
— stows away or is accidentally still on the ship without Hook knowing when he sails back.
I think that would be the cliffhanger at the end, and the rest would be setting up that everyone else is too busy with Greg or other plots to notice Henry is gone until too late.“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?” -- Lewis Carroll, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass

This is my theory about the game-changer between Neal and Rumpel, but it involves Henry and his grandfather Rumpelstiltskin. Henry is holding on to his grandfather’s hands and with knowing how he let go of his son’s hand in the episode “The Return”, he won’t make the same mistake with his grandson, so he falls in the portal with Henry. Which leads Neal to try to find a way to get his dad and son back to Storybrooke.

March 15, 2013 at 12:55 pm #180106SlurpeezParticipantI like the idea that Rumple will so something selfless by saving Henry, thereby improving relations with his son. Yet, even though Robert Carlyle is a great actor, he’d basically have to carry every scene with the kid who can’t really act. While I love Henry, Jared Gilmore isn’t the strongest actor yet. Every time a scene is really emotional, I just can’t believe his lines like when he yelled, “Eleven! Now why is everyone yelling?!” I love Robert, but even he might struggle to pull off scenes with Jared.

March 15, 2013 at 1:22 pm #180111RumplesGirlKeymasterSlurpeez makes a good point. If the whole cast goes to Neverland then the work is spread out and Jared won’t have to try and carry so many scenes next to Robert, who, let’s face it, is dang near perfection. I know Jared is very young and has a lot to learn but it is starting to tax the viewer with some of his scenes. The odd thing is, he was much better in S1.
With regards to the Henry/Rumple theory as a whole: I like it, except it’s almost far too reminiscent of Snow/Emma for the first half of S2. I really don’t like when they reuse story lines, and I don’t know if the general audience would either. I also think when you’ve got Cap’n Hook already on the show, let the man go to Neverland! He’s going to shine there and I think that will make a great many fans happy.
This is how I think the season will end: We will learn that young Owen of episode 16 is the grown up Greg who has been searching for the town of SB for a very long time because something happened to his father when they were passed through. He’s been aided this entire time by HER, who I think is Tamara who wants to get to SB herself for unknown reasons. She’s got this connection to Greg, but she also knows NealFire and maybe Pinocchio. Her intentions are not good. Seeing that the entire town is in danger, our heroes somehow speed up the growth of the beans and just as news vans are rolling into SB led by Tamara, they jump into the vortex and land in Neverland.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 15, 2013 at 3:16 pm #180116angiebelleParticipantHm…I would love to see Henry finally get to see a magical world and go on an adventure. On the other hand, I wasn’t thrilled having the cast separated for the first half of the 2nd season. I think Gold will push Henry away both out of fear and for Henry’s own safety. Gold will be uncertain he can trust himself around his grandson.
I do think that the arc next season will involve outsiders finding out about Storybrooke. At this point, I am not convinced that HER is anyone important- just Greg’s significant other, someone he can talk to about the strange things he’s seen. But I’ve been wrong before.
