Season One Finale Party?

What do you guys think of a season one finale party?

I organized Cincinnati’s first social-media conference last year at Northern Kentucky University’s (NKU) Griffin Hall. They have a beautiful “digitorium” with a gigantic, digital, microtile display with an 8K resolution (more than 16 times the resolution of 1080p). It’s quite amazing.

This would be a great place for a season one finale party!

Here are my initial ideas.

• Sunday-evening (May 13) dinner at a local restaurant with possible group specials.
• Meet at NKU around 7.
• Nonalcoholic drinks and snacks/dessert would be catered at NKU.
• We record our initial reactions podcast live with open mics immediately after the show.
• Leave NKU by 10:00 or 10:30.
• Have breakfast at a local restaurant on Monday morning before we head our separate ways.

There would be costs of renting the facilities, and NKU requires that we use their caterer. So we would have to charge admission for this: $20 or $30 including drinks and snacks/dessert at NKU.

Would you come? What are your thoughts?

I live in Indianapolis so I could definately make the trip but just saw that the finale is May 13. Of course that’s the ONLY weekend I can’t go because my son has a performance that day!!! I am so bummed because that sounded like a lot of fun. Hopefully next year or maybe for the season 2 premier party!

Let me know when you start planning the group road trip to Vancouver next year so we can all try to catch a glimpse of the cast while they are filming and watch an episode together as a group out there! Maybe we could convince some of the cast to go out with us as a group after they are done working for the day . . .??

I wish I could come. 🙁 But 9000 km or so is a bit far for one weekend … If there’s omeone else near Stuttgart, Germany, we could organize something here. 🙂

I CAN’T MAKE IT!!! 😥 😥 😥 I’m in Florida and my summer semester starts in May. But that shouldn’t stop you guys from throwing the party. Actually, can you guys do a live podcast of the party? I would love to see how the party turns out. 😀

Unless we could get a sponsor, I just found the prices for NKU. We’d have to charge $40–$50 per person, if we had 20 people.

So I’ll be looking elsewhere, if enough people are interested. I’d say we need at least ten people to come.

I used to attend NKU, and I’m still only an hour away so I can definitely make it out. I look forward to meeting everyone!
