Jeremy and I just checked out a local coffee shop, but it won’t work.
However, I’m now checking out a local entertainment installer for possibility of using their showroom.
Sounds like I can actually make it. Can you provide htoel information for those of us who don’t want to bunk on a stanger’s couch?
Yes, I’ll have that as soon as we have a definite location.
I’m looking at new options now. Like a local hotel that may have theater style seating. We could probably get it for $200. At a cost like that, we would either need to charge a small fee, ask for donations, or get a sponsor.
I’ll updated with more news soon!
Live to far away, Texas But it sounds like fun!
I just talked to a local hotel that has theater-style seating, we can bring our own food or have them provide snacks for a few dollars per person, and it’s an affordable rental. The only question is whether they can bring live TV into that room.
I’ll visit and photograph it ASAP and report back.

Sounds like this might be a winner. We can watch the fianle, do the podcast and crash around first thing Monday Morning.
At ten people, that comes to twenty each. I’m presuming that we can pay above the ‘list’ price to donate to the cause.
Can you also find out how much the rooms run for? Will my AAA membership qualify for a discount?
Just to be a jerk, my own personal cuisine probably won’t make it from home base. How is your cooking? Yes, I realize that two of the hosts are married, so the wrong answer might wind up with someone on the couch. I wouldn’t mind paying extra for catering, in or out of house.
Grr. Apparently, some hotels define “theater” in a way different from ours. I stopped by this particular hotel and it was just a regular meeting room.
If we have to charge for these event, it won’t be any more than $10 per person. We would go out to dinner before the finale.
So we’re back to the search, but Jeremy has a great list, and I have some more places to visit and call.
