P.S. does anybody know if A + E wrote for the Alice and Robin characters, or did they get another writer to handle them? Because I feel that, in the case of Alice/Tilly at least, she had a different feel about her compared to any characters we’ve seen before.
It’s hard to know what A and E interject into all the stories, even if other writers are the credited creators of any particular episode. But for Alice/Robyn they can be credited for: –The Eighth Witch (which introduced Robin and Alice’s relationship, right before the Curse took them) –Secret Garden (which only featured Robin) –Flower Child (which featured both characters but was more about Gothel) –Leaving Storybrooke The main Alice and Alice/Robin stories were: –The Girl in the Tower (Dana Horgan and Leah Fong) –The Guardian (David H Goodman and Brigitte Hales
This is exactly why we need more women writers. I think A + E did a well above-average job creating female characters, but that’s not saying much tbh, especially considering some of their motives were often so… stereotypical/sexist (especially Zelena imo – jealousy induced rampage… really?).

"there’s lesbians in it"May 28, 2018 at 9:05 am #347592MichelleParticipant1) What was your favorite episode of S7B?
My favourite episode of the second half the season would be – “Knightfall” ( Ep 7×13), just a solid good episode.
Runner up: ”Leaving Storybrooke” (Ep 7×22) was a great series finale.2) What was your least favorite episode of S7B?
My least favourite episode would be “A Taste of the Heights” (Ep 7×12) – it was just a boring filler episode in which not much happened.
Runner Ups: ”The Guardian” (Ep 7×18) and ”Flower Child” (Ep 7×19) both episodes were a mess.3) What was your favorite/least favorite moment of S7B?
My favourite moments of S7B would be Hook and Captain Ahab pistol duel to prove which of them is tougher. Also another good moment was when with Hook near death, the real Rumple decided to sacrifice in own life by ripping out his heart and putting in Hook’s body was a really great to show how Rumple character has come so far to sacrifice his life for his old enemy. Another good scene was when Hook asked Rumple ”with all the power you once had, how come you never used it to destroy me” and Rumple replied ”because you were the closest thing I ever had to a friend” was a really good aww-moment.
My least favourite moment would be how easy Gothel was defeated and trapped in a form of a tree so maybe a comeback in a possible spin-off. Also most of Jacinda and older Henry scenes who are both bad actors and had zero chemistry and their are probably one of main reasons the show got cancelled.4) We didn’t really meet any new characters in S7B but overall, which character who hadn’t appeared in S1-6 did you most enjoy? And which one did you not enjoy at all?
One of best new character is probably Drizella Tremaine /Ivy Belfrey in which I thought she would be giving more of a role but only got 13 episodes. One of the most interesting characters of the new ones but not given enough time.
One of the worst new characters are probably Lucy and Jacinda, both equally irritating.5) If you could change anything about S7B what would it be?
Where do you start, well the first big change would be no Cinderella or Lucy or older Henry. So the younger Henry played by Jared Gilmore has just graduated college and goes off on a new adventure and meets Alice, Drizella and Gothel and are eventually cursed to Hyperion Heights with no timeline headache. But also keep the cursed personas the same with Rumple, Hook and Regina. Also Gothel back story should have been earlier and better than ”Flower Child”. Overall the series finale could have been better with either Regina sacrificing her life for older Henry or getting married to Wish Realm Robin would have been more of a fitting end.
6) Did OUAT deserve another year? Or was it right to cancel it now?
It was time to end, I hate to say it but it was going downhill, and where could it go next, I don’t think their was much more story-lines but maybe in a few years a possible spin off on Captain Hook hopefully.
But Kitsis told Entertainment Weekly that there were ideas in store for a Season 8. “The [series] finale was going to be what we were going to do [to end Season 7], and then we’re just not doing cliffhanger,” Kitsis said. Though there was a pitch prepared for Season 8, it didn’t gain any traction among network execs. “It was never heard,” Kitsis said in the same interview, “We’ll save it for the spinoff when they approach us in two years.” He adds, on season 8, “I think we would have probably returned to Storybrooke and done something there…Usually we have a few notions and then in between seasons we plot it out”
7) Final Grade/Ranking for S7B?
Overall – C+
