Post by the person who made it…So I wanted to comment on ABCâs Promo photo of Emma Swan⌠Personally I wasnât a fan of the photos they showed. I think out of the whole group Belle was the only acceptable one mainly because of the editing.
I decided to create a quick manip of the difference of poses. People are discussing the purple dress on Emma. I truly do NOT think the dress was the problem. We have seen Emma in numerous dresses and didnât make a scene over it.
The main problem I am having and I know others are having is the fact that it looks like the dress is wearing Emma vs Emma is wearing the dress.
Jennifer Morrison commented and said that this promo pic was showing Emma wearing her mothers dress since she wore her fathers armor previously. I happen to be a HUGE fan of that. I love how they constantly connect everything together.
The concern is that they gave Emma a very very unflattering pose. Sheâs slightly hunched over and looking rather uncomfortable. She looks like the dress is a huge inconvenience and she just wants the photo to be over with.
I wanted to showcase her confidence. Emma can wear a dress and still be feminine and strong. I really wish ABC would have considered a more confident pose. The argument that Emma Swan shouldnât wear dresses because sheâs âtoo bad assâ is ridiculous. A woman can still be bad ass in a dress.
So for those of you who are freaking out mainly because she is in a dress should really re-analyse your mindset of Emma. She is fully capable of wearing a dress and holding her own.

Emma in a dress….. Looks weird to me. But then again her technically being a princess is too so who am I to judge.

That Emma image is awesome! Also love the dead tree branches ones but that Emma one, wow! The dress or the colour truly isn’t the problem. That is the Emma Swan we know.

Keeper of Felixlike ive said before one of my fav moments of emmas is that very first scene of her in THAT RED DRESS and the moment she walks out the bar no hurry confident in the fact that the scumbag hasnt escaped and walks across the road not even LOOKING and all the cars stop for her because they got no choice obv but its such a great scene and then she knocks the guy out cos he upsets her ha BRILLIANT!!ps that promo pic is so much better than the original .. take note abc all these little changes is what YOU needed to do.
