Does it look like Belle is holding a knife in the group photo? It bother me how far apart Snowing far, especially since they’ve put Rumbelle close together. The endgame ships should be the same.

an i think everyone figured what JMo said its just the blurring and lack of professionalism on the pics more so than what Emma is wearing if the background was better done i think ppl could appreciate Emma in the dress more but because the background/editing is so bad its taking away from the mirrorism of Emma wearing her moms dress which is a shame really… bad picture editors…

A book makes much more sense for Belle, given her character. I love Yaogui outfit but she should be holding a book in that hand, not a knife.

What could possibly happen for these two to split up? Do you think that’s a possibility for Season 3? I hope not!!

Unfortunately, it seems there are some people out there who just hate the fact that she’s in the dress at all. They think it’s completely out of character, and there are even conspiracy theories that they’re trying to make her look more feminine, (ie: less butch) than usual. I’m guessing those are the people she was replying to with that tweet.
While I’m not in love with these photos, I think the negativity is an extreme reaction and that ABC were too quick to remove the photos. What does taking them down accomplish? We’ve already seen the images! So, unless they plan to provide new photos, then it’s pointless to pretend as if the photos were never released. Also, it’s ridiculous that J-Mo had to pacify some fans with that tweet about Emma in her mother’s dress; it’s like coddling a bunch of teenagers who endlessly fret over their wardrobes. (I don’t mean offense to people who express their views here on the forum, but it’s immature to complain to the stars of the show who work hard to provide a good show and who aren’t responsible for the promos).

Yeah the stars have nothing to do with this. I feel pretty bad for them. Our cast is really good looking and most of these photos don’t demonstrate that.
Maybe it’s wishful thinking but I can’t imagine that ABC would pull them if they didn’t have some sort of backup plan. ABC and their marketing teams aren’t wholly stupid. They should have been able to predict that those photos were not going to be met with warmth and love.

You’re right that it was rather extreme that ABC took the photos down so quickly. But on the other hand that maybe a sign that they want to do another set of pics. Maybe? But even if they do that, they could’ve left the photos were they where, as you said we did already see them. That fans complain to actors is just pointless: They can’t do anything about the promo pics ABC releases.
Nevertheless: I would be very happy about new pictures, because the first ones were just sad. 🙁

I’ll admit it, I hate the fact that she’s in THAT dress. Not that I would hate her in any dress. It indicates (for me) a pampered little Emma Charming and not the tough, independant woman we know who likes to dress for comfort and who has a penchant for leather. For me it’s just totally not in character. The colour is all wrong too IMO, in fact I think that it washes her out completely, ESPECIALLY with that awful background. She needs a strong colour, not pastels. It suited Snow White far better, especially with her dark hair.
And then there’s the expression on her face. For me she almost looks serene or something. Not that she’s going to kick butt in Neverland.
Also just to clarify, i don’t blame the cast at all for their icky pictures! It’s totally the ABC promo departments fault. I love how Colin was able to laugh at his photo by retweeting his rock star alter ego! 😀

My biggest problem, across the board, is that these photos have nothing to do with the show, thematically. Part one of S3 is Neverland; Henry has been kidnapped by two evil minions to be taken to a shadow ripping Peter Pan. His family is looking for him; Belle is in SB and Neal is in FTL trying to get back to his family. How in the world do these pictures demonstrate that?? Emma in a dress-fine. But make it more creative! If you were to show these pictures to someone who has never watched the show before, they’d have no idea who was who or what the theme was for S3. They’d think GG played Aphrodite, not Snow. These pictures are for the fans, to be sure, but also to promote the show for new people. These pics are supposed to be on billboards, ect. Nothing about those individual shots screams “what OUAT!”
