I noticed that tonight’s episode is a rerun of “Whatever Happened to Frederick?”. I am wondering if there are any clues that we will catch tonight that we didn’t when it originally aired. So, keep your eyes open and let’s see!
(If this belongs somewhere else instead of as a thread here, please feel free to move it. My magic wand is simply useless around the Internet! 😉 )

Abigail says she has ears in Charming’s father’s court. Regina has said she has eyes. Mr. Gold and Regina in Storybrooke both mentioned having eyes around town. Can we say the good ones have ears and the bad ones have eyes. with respect to spies that is. August and Emma had a date at a well and there is a big tree next to it. The well has magical properties but so does the tree next to it. The enchanted tree where the wardrobe that brought her over to the “real world”. He says, “hop on” and “take a leap of faith.” Hop on is right now a red herring. Snow and Charming took a leap of faith by sending Emma via wardrobe and having faith that she’d come back to save them all. They still do have faith they just don’t remember it. August knows that is why he took her to the well and tree. So Emma can take that leap of faith and start believing and help her parents and everyone else start believing.

After getting a facial, my mom comes to the TV when Prince Charming is on during that siren scene and she says:
“Oh, who’s that?! He’s sexy!”
And I laugh, “Of course, he’s sexy, he’s Prince Charming. But his real world counter part [David] is horrible!” 😆 😆
April 16, 2012 at 1:02 am #142476fairygodmotherParticipantI’d forgotten how hard some of this episode is to watch! Regina burning Abigail’s letter…ooooh!
And I laugh, “Of course, he’s sexy, he’s Prince Charming. But his real world counter part [David] is horrible!”
😆 So true! I hope he finally comes back to himself soon!
Charming, I agree that the “leap of faith” is important and will be important. It’s definitely a theme in the overall story, and there are several “leaps” to come! I’m thinking that Mary Margaret will have to make a major leap of faith to start trusting David in Storybrooke again. I think Emma is getting closer to making a leap of faith and believing…though I am known to be an optimist, so who knows!
I am really, really excited to see next week’s episode, that’s for sure.

The well and the tree are two very familiar symbols. Cinderella’s Prince Thomas dissappeared near a well. Snow and Red found a bucket of blood in a well. Now, Emma and August are drinking out of a supposedly magical well. Lake Nostos was a magical lake. Both the Lake as described by Abigail and the well as described by August; both used the same description describing them. They both will return what was lost to them. Lake Nostos and that well with the “enchanted tree” by it seem to be connected. The tree looks like the tree that in the Pilot was dragged in to make the wardrobe except we did not see the full tree. We only saw the roots of it.
April 16, 2012 at 2:12 am #142487charmingParticipantKing George was king when James was in love with Snow. When James and Snow get married,; who is King? King “Charming” James? Prince Thomas’ Dad? King Midas?? but I don’t remember seeing Midas, Abigail at the wedding but then again we were never formally introduced to them so they should be out of play. Who is King from Charming and Snow’s wedding to the birth of Emma? If it is King “Charming” then Emma is a Princess……yes??? It seems minor but it is a minor $64,000 question wouldn’t anyone agree? We all wonder what Emma’s FTL role is? Henry did tell Emma that she was in the book, the pages of the book were burned. I think Charming became King and Snow, a Queen….making Emma—Princess Emma. Other than that I do not have enough to predict any further without grasping at unknown straws.
April 16, 2012 at 2:17 am #142488hjbauParticipantYeah. I think that Charming and Snow are King and Queen of their kingdom by the point of Emma’s birth. Midas is a separate kingdom. They seem to be more like city states.
April 16, 2012 at 2:20 am #142489charmingParticipantYes. Princess Emma their heir. Is Frederick a Prince now? It seems like Princess Abigail and Frederick will marry. Is Freddy a Prince??
