It bugs me that the timeline doesn’t add up….if Bae ended up in turn of the century London, there is at least a century or two unaccounted for! Are they actually in our world there or a fictional storybook version of London as has been suggested?
I believe the answer is that portals travel in time and space, much like Jefferson’s hat.
K&H said it just recently again, that there is no time travel in OUaT, time is linear, although it works differently in different lands source
That Regina with the help of Jefferson was able to use the hat to get a tiny object from the past into present Storybrooke kinda contradicts that. but, oh, well, maybe the apple got stuck in some rabbit hole for some years before it fell through the hat up into Regina’s hand. And the same happened to Bae. Or so. 🙄
*blinks rapidly* I forgot about that interview.
Ok, now I got nothing.

Rumple/Lacey- All their scenes. When Lacey was talking about them being together forever, she sounded very Belle like. Also Rumple being able to keep Lacey/Belle young forever means RumBelle can be a “tale as old as time” 😀 . Had to laugh when Lacey asked Rumple why he didn’t tell her he could do magic. I just imagined the scene playing out like this:
Lacey: Why didn’t you tell me you could do magic?
Rumple: I did, on the night you lost your memory. You didn’t take it well.Least Favourite
Regina revealing she killed Kurt. She could’ve let him go, he wouldn’t have been able to find Storybrooke again, and nobody would’ve believed him about a magical town. I felt sorry for Greg uncovering his father’s remains.
Blue Fairy- Just appearing to say Regina will be fine. Whale could have probably come to the same conclusion.
All magic comes with a price!

Even though time is linear, we know for a fact that Baelfire crossed the barriers of time and space when he came through the bean portal. In 1×19, Rumple apologizes to the man he thinks is Bae:
You were right, Bae. You were always right. I was a coward, and I never should’ve let you go. I know it’s little consolation, but… I just want you to know, that ever since you left, ever since you crossed the barriers of time and space, in every waking moment… I’ve been looking for you. And now that I’ve finally found you… I know I can’t make up for the past, for the lost time. All I can do, is to ask you to do what you’ve always done. And that’s to be the bigger man… And forgive me. I’m so sorry, son. I’m so sorry, Bae.
He could have jumped forward in time. And that’s really the only way to explain the timeline in my opinion. If time is parallel in SB and in the EF, well, we know two things. Bae went throught the portal about 250 years ago in the EF but ended up in 19th-century London (which was only about 110-120 years ago in our world). Bae must’ve traveled forward in history by about 100 years to Earth, from which he traveled to NL and stayed there about another 100 years, until he returned to Earth about 1991 and started aging again.

But not every portal moves in time, obviously, because Emma and Snow didn’t jump in time when they came home to SB.

Excellent point–and with the whole science vs magic thing–what a missed opportunity. They even had Whale in the episode for a kind of silly scene showing Rumpel being cruel and cold for Lacey. BF plot device is blinding the writers or something else better be going on.

Regarding the BF, she also used her magic wand to heal Regina, who was all but dead from her “shock therapy.” Then the BF said Regina would be fine. Regarding Dr. Whale and the science vs. magic connection, we still have another episode to go! And David Anders is set to appear in it!

May 6, 2013 at 6:52 pm #191577kfchimeraParticipantWow BF is much more active with her magic than in FTL isn’t she? Eva dies and BF stays away despite Snow calling, leaving her open to be Cora’d.
Ok BF being the one to heal Regina is on my least fave parts.

Plot Device Blue Fairy is Plot Device-y.
While I am still open to Sneak Fairy is Sneaky, with each episode that the BF appears in I become more and more convinced that there is no working logic to her, it just depends on what the writers need her to do or not to do.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 8, 2013 at 1:08 pm #192174ceegeParticipantHello everyone,
I’ve been away from the forums for a while. I was a little bit too obsessed with the show that I decided that I needed to give up my online OUAT activities for Lent. When Lent was over, there were a couple of reruns, then a couple of busy weeks for me (which left me wondering where I ever found the time to listen to 4 podcasts, never mind hanging around the forum.)
I really liked this episode, although no scene really stood out. If I had to chose, it would be
1) the opening sequence, where we saw once again Bae, Rumple and the portal, and see Bae arriving in London. I was really glad that Bae did not go straight to Neverland, but did go to a land without magic. For one thing, I never thought Bae fitted the character of Peter Pan; for another, while I can accept misdirection from the producers, it would have been an all-out lie to say the bean would take him to a land without magic if it took him to Neverland.
My only quibble with this scene is that I would have loved to see Bae somehow get mixed up with other literary tales before jumping into Peter Pan. I would have loved to see him as a Baker Street Irregular (the street orphans that were Sherlock Holmes’ eyes and ears in the street of London) or involved with the Artful dodger.
2) Emma and the gang in Regina’s office. Loved the scene, but can’t explain it.
3) Learning more about Tamara’s background – it wasn’t much, but at least we know the name of the organization she works for. I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who thinks the Home Office was started by the Darlings. Looking forward to seeing what other people wrote on the subject.
