Exactly what Jane Espenson was hinting at in one of her tweets. Said something to the effect that if he knows the curse is broken, then why hasn’t he shown up in SB and does he even want to go to SB?
Hmmmm………….wonder what has happened or changed to make him run like a scared rabbit? (had to throw that in for all the White Rabbit Theory fans) OR is his fear of having anything to do with Daddy Dearest greater than his desire to see Emma?

If Neal is not Bae, I will be very disappointed b/c the one alone pic of him, I assume looking at Emma, reminds me Bae.

So everyone has their theories, here’s mine. Gold gives Emma something that belonged to Bae, probably the leather ball, and the locating potion and sends her off into the universe, or at least over the Storybrooke town line, to find his son. She, along with Henry who she obviously takes with her since it causes much more drama to meet his papa this way, track him down in NYC. Now the running away is either two things. First, he runs from her because she calls him Bae so he bolts. She takes off after him. Or the other option, Henry, not listening to his mother to stay somewhere safe, eavesdrops on their conversation, realizes Neal is his dad and takes off. Neal takes off after Henry and Emma takes off after Neal.
What a lovely little family we have. 😀
What I’m most excited about is the possibility of all three returning to Storybrooke in the yellow bug! 😆

When Neal got that postcard, why didn’t he immediately look up Emma? Also, why will he run from her? It just occurred to me: During the time of his seperation from Emma, what if Neal got married? What if he’s afraid he’ll loose his wife, and maybe kids if he connects with Emma again?
^I doubt he’s married now. We saw him at the beginning of “Broken” and he was living alone in a small apartment. No kids or roommate to be seen.
No way is Neal married, or even divorced with kids. If he had kids there would be evidence of them in his apartment, even if they didn’t live with him.
I still think he’s running away because she probably called him Baelfire. I think he’s going to want to stay as far away from Rumplestiltskin as possible, but it’s ultimately not going to happen. The catalyst to get his butt into Storybrooke will be Henry. So far we know the thought of Emma alone still isn’t enough to bring him back just yet, but once he finds out about his son I bet he’s going to high tail it to Maine.

Actually, if Neal turns out to be Bae, I will be very disappointed, and will probably stop watching the show. I haven’t been particularly thrilled this season anyways, it’s been kind of boring. I keep watching, giving it a chance, but my chances are wearing thin. Sucks, because season one was so good.
