SISTER Mary Margaret

I just came across an interview with Ginnifer Goodwin where she called MM: Sister Mary Margaret. Was she originally going to be a nun too? I am sure someone has already talked about this but this is new info to me, so I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this?

She was referred to in the pilot as Sister Mary Margaret but it was quickly cleared up in episode two, it’s just formality. 😆

Okay because that would have been weird if they decided to make her a nun…lol

I read somewhere that in an early draft of the script, Charming was going to die from his sword wound in the pilot and Snow would become Sister Mary Margaret in Storybrooke. Of course, they wound up changing that before they filmed it, and they put in her line in episode 2, “I’m a teacher, not a nun” as a little nod to that script change.

Yeah, I think it’s when they were originally pitching the idea for the show, and they had so many people say, “OMG you can’t kill Prince Charming!” that they changed it. Thank God they did.

Can you imagine the show without Charming??!? Snow’s storyline would be HORRIBLE! She would end up marrying Dr. Whale or something..
