Sleeping Beauty

I am not trying to say i think Emma is Sleeping Beauty because she is Emma the daughter of Snow and Charming and also we know that story happened at some point in the past in Fairytale land. It has been awhile since i saw the Sleeping Beauty movie, but the way i remember it is that Rose pricks her finger on a spinning wheel and goes into a cursed sleep. The good fairies then put everyone to sleep and they will only wake when true love’s kiss wakes Rose. The prince is kidnapped and these brambles grow up around Rose’s castle.

The prince escapes and is fighting through the brambles that are surrounding the castle and then Maleficent turns into a dragon. The prince throws his sword at the dragon killing her and then the brambles disappear. The prince runs up the stairs, kisses Rose, and then she wakes and then everyone wakes up.

So we know that the sleeping curse that was used is supposed to be the same curse. So maybe it will be similar where Emma confronts, possible kills Maleficent as a dragon, because the sleeping curse is her curse, and that will cause a partial break and then Emma will kiss Henry and everyone will wake. I am just seeing a lot of parallels to Sleeping Beauty though i am still not saying that Emma is the prince in Sleeping Beauty or that Henry is sleeping beauty just that there seems to be a parallel.

I love that Emma has a gun down in the cave, wherever she is. It wouldn’t seem real to me if Emma didn’t have a gun. She is still very much from our world because this is where she grew up. Though i think i would like that in the end it was the sword that took out Maleficent if she is killed just because of the parallel to Sleep Beauty.

@ hjbau: I’m with you on this theory. From the extended promo it seems like a good guess that Emma is taking on a dragon or beast. Since we’re going to see Maleficent this episode in SB, I think she’ll be in her dragon form!

I think Emma might be traveling down into a part of the old, crumbling mine shaft. What if Maleficent has been trapped down there this entire time? Emma kisses Henry….magic arrives…Maleficent is able to transform into a dragon….battle ensues. Set up for next season….new baddie in town.
