But she didn’t force herself onto Owen like she did with David, that whole scene was seductive, whereas this one it has a more eerie creepy feeling to it ๐
There was only the tiniest sense of seductiveness and that’s just normal in EQ’s voice, it’s always in her voice and it’s just there ๐
I think this has just been taken a little too seriousI don’t know about anyone else, but having anyone touch my face makes me feel weird ๐

Um, it’s serious to Owen. This isn’t just some random lady who doesn’t respect his personal space. This is the same deranged woman who robbed him as a child of his father and then tried to harangue him into staying with her. Regina is a total creeper, and it’s no wonder he recoiled from her as she leered lustfully at him.

I can see the seduction in her tone, but it doesn’t mean she intended for it to come off that way ๐
Yea it’s serious to Owen, hence he backed away from her, but we don’t have to take it personally ourselvesMarch 21, 2013 at 8:42 pm #181446RumplesGirlKeymasterUm, it’s serious to Owen. Regina is a total creeper.
AND the same woman for some reason looks the exact same 29 years later living in a town that he only recently re-found because it apparently disappeared when he went back to look for it. Oh. And she took out someone’s heart. And made things float. If I were Owen I’d sprint out of that room faster than you could say “EEK!”

Treating him as such. Its what any mother or older women would do if they havent seen a kid they adired, and now theyre all grown up ….

March 21, 2013 at 9:14 pm #181450SlurpeezParticipantI think Regina was coming onto Own. She eyed him exactly how she eyed Graham in the last episode and said, “That suit is so well-fitted.” Here she says, “All grown up” in a way that suggests Greg is a man who could please her sexually. People are making a big deal about it, because the undertones of the scene imply a semi-incestuous intention on Regina’s part. This was the kid she wanted to adopt, and while it’s not technically incest because she isn’t related, it’s the principle of it that needs to upheld; would-be adopted parents and kids should not cross that line. Also, when you combine her actions here with how much irreparable damage Regina has caused Owen, it’s just plain disturbing and wrong to see her try and get of her jam by charming him. She shows no remorse and makes no attempt to reveal the truth of Kurt’s fate. Then she threatens him! That’s evil!

This.
In “Welcome to Storybrooke” and now this sneak peek, creeper is the perfect word to describe Regina. I don’t think that she would abuse a child that way, but the way that they had her becoming so obsessed over Owen despite not knowing him for very long, and then with her need to have Henry love her and be with her, it just comes across as Regina being a sexual predator. It also mirrors how disturbing it was when Cora smelled Regina’s clothes when she first came to Storybrooke. So I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Obviously ymmv, but I found it very disturbing that she’d even try to seduce Gregowen even if she wants him to leave town because she wanted to raise him at one time.

This is another excellent point. It reminds me of the Woody Allen and Soon Yi situation from the early 90s. I don’t care if he wasn’t her adoptive father, or if she was legally of age whenever they started their relationship, many people, including myself, feel that it was wrong because he was a father figure in her household, and he knew her from a very young age.
March 21, 2013 at 9:34 pm #181455kfchimeraParticipantRegina is twisted. Poor Greg/Owen is in over his head, and he does not know it. I doubt the writers would do it, but I really would love it if he were smart enough to drug Regina and take her over the town line. She is too central a character, and has to regain her villain cred, so I think Greg is not long for the world.
His biggest advantage was that no one recognized him. He’s lost that now, and unless he has observed enough to know who in the town would help him (rather than being scared that he is an outsider or on Regina’s side) he is going to have a pretty tough time accomplishing anything.โIf I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would.
