So much happens in this one tiny clip. I love that Neal is there listening, seeing that maybe his Papa is capable of change, that he has a good heart and is still a good man.
Belle’s face throughout, props to Emilie. You can tell she’s moved by what he says. I hope this triggers something!!
And Robert Carlyle. What do you say? It was so honest and open and beautiful and breathtaking. I know there are many who don’t ship Rumbelle and that’s fine but you can’t deny that RC has done a superb job of creating Rumple’s love for Belle. The fact that Rumple knows it’s Belle who’s the hero and that he is an ugly (inside and out, in FTL) man….
Again with the crying.
Sneak peak 5: “I don’t like what that enchanted box was saying. I’m not wicked.”
1) Jane Espenson is amazing. That’s such an incredible first line.
2) Oh Cora. Wake up and smell the evil. You’re…well. Evil
“I don’t like what that enchanted box was saying.” 😆 😆
Wow, just wow! Even after having guessed the context the Rumbelle scene would happen it still surpassed my expectations! Really beautiful the emotional exchange between Rumple and Belle, and, as if it wasn’t enough, Neal witnessed it all! Really hope this’ll lead to another emotional exchange, this time between father and son! 🙂
THAT. WAS. BEAUTIFUL. 😥 😥 😥
Jane Espesnon’s writing skills knows no bounds. That clip was amazing. I love that Gold listed out all of Belle’s accomplishments and positive attributes. And I love how he kept saying that she made him want to be a better man. So beautiful. 😥
I love that it wasn’t him pouring out his heart about his undying love for her but instead, “let me tell you who you are.” He hardly mentions himself, and when he does it’s acknowledging that he’s made lots of mistakes and isn’t “good” like she is. I don’t think Rumple will stop being surprised that Belle fell in love with him or that after such a long life, he has a true love.
I can’t stop commenting about this sneak peak.
Oh, so confused with #5. Would they let Cora become the Dark One? Looking more and more like it’s Cora that bites the dust.
This episode is looking to top all episodes.
Agreed about Jane Espenson. We love her!

Yes, he was being very selfless in that clip. Even though he was dying, he took the time to remind her just how amazing she was. I loved that.
I wonder if Neal and Rumple will have another one on one conversation in this episode. With his own father dying, I think Neal will give him another chance to say what needs to be said. Also, after witnessing his emotional phone call to Belle, Neal will realize that there is still much good in him.
I imagine that Rumple will tell Neal what he should have said all along. That of course is basically replicating the conversation he had with August, when he mistook him for Bae.
