Clip 4: My heart can’t take it. Dying Rumple wants to repent and atone for all he’s done, but he can’t, because his death is neigh. π₯ π π₯ And Emma and Neal steal sidewards glances at each other as they each realize that all that matters is they love each other the way Rumple loves Belle. *Sobbing* π₯

Clip 5: Darn you, Cora! You are indeed wicked! πΏ Right as she’s about to crush Cora’s heart, I want Snow to Say, “My name is Snow White, and you killed my mother. Now, prepare to die!”

Well…
Too bad I can’t understand almost anything of what he said π
Me
Belle: Mr Gold, I told you before, I don’t remember you.
Rumple: I know, I know. It’s just…sweetheart, I’m dying.
Belle: Oh, I’m, uh, I’m so sorry.
Rumple: I know that you’re confused about who you are, so I’m gonna tell you. You are a hero, who helped your people. You’re a beautiful woman, who loved an ugly man. Really, really loved me. You find goodness in others…and when it’s not there, you create it. You make me wanna go back…back to the best version of me. And that never happened before. So when you look in the mirror, and you don’t know who you are…that’s who you are. Thank you…Belle.Me: Oh my heart! WAAAAAHHHHH!!!

Also, so now we know that if the Dark One dies without being stabbed, the magic just vanishes. It’s not like it finds a new host or something. Interesting.
Ok, back to watching clip #4 over and over while crying. *It’s Thursday! 72+ hours to go*

Awwww. She’s so gifted. I’m so thankful she’s a part of this show. If the entire episode is like these sneak peaks then I’m going to go ahead and declare “The Miller’s Daughter” the best of season two, in my opinion (followed very closely by “Manhattan”).
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 7, 2013 at 6:05 pm #177941evilqueenParticipantSeems like I’m the only one who wasn’t particularly bothered with the scene.
To me, these are just words – he has never ever tried to redeem himself, none of his actions were ever selfless and he’s only saying all that now BECAUSE he’s dying and for no other reason. I bet when he gets better he will go back to his old selfish ways, getting rid of anything and anybody on his way. Only then, Neal and Emma will actually feel for him because of what they heard, forgetting how manipulative he is.
Poetic words, true, but I’m waiting for him to actually prove them in action too.As for the last sneak peek, I’m actually fed up with how clueless Regina’s become. It’s irritating to see the writers stupefying her like that, it doesn’t fit with the character we’ve known for that long. Even if the writers come up with some excuse for that, I will still consider it bad writing.

I wrote this a few pages up but, this scene isn’t about his redeeming himself, I don’t think. I think Rumple thinks there is no redemption for himself. He’s an “ugly” man and instead of telling Belle about his undying love for her, he is very selfless and decides to tell her about who she is. And the only time he mentions himself it’s to say that he’s not “good” like she is. His final act with Belle isn’t to clear his conscious, because I dont think Rumple feels that’s possible after everything he’s done, but to give Belle something beautiful, hopefully something that gives her something to cling to as she struggles to find her identity. Rumple, in my view, will never stop being surprised that Belle fell in love with him and that she continued to love him; for him, it doesn’t compute with his past experiences of Milah (and I’m going to guess Cora). The fact that after such a long life of darkness and trickery and manipulation (on many sides), he found his true love…I think that will shock him until the very end. He keeps expecting her to leave. And so, to thank her for that (and he does say thank you), for giving him hope that maybe he could be better, that he could return to a better version of himself, he gives her this really beautiful gift: “this is who you are.” AND as far as action goes: in 2×19 “Lacey” I think his actions will win back Belle, cause her to remember who she is. And I suspect that it won't be through magic.

He needs to go to this place emotionally, in order for him to progress emotionally. I’m looking forward to how this affects his relationship with Nealfire, who has now seen him in a completely unexpected light.

I’m not even an EvilRegal and it irritates me how completely she seems to have succumbed to Cora. Hopefully by the end of this ep, she’ll have had a wake up call.
