That line was awesome! LOL

No, Gold wouldn’t have had the hat. That has to be the hat Jefferson used in “Hat Trick”. Regina may have kept it after leaving him in Wonderland.
Yup, I think it’s just the hat that Regina kept after she and Papa Mills got back from Wonderland that time, just in case it came in handy again one day.

I’ve never been convinced that he went through the hat because there just wasn’t the same amount of spinning and whooshing wind that we got when he and Regina had jumped into it in FTL. In that scene, it seemed to take a minute or so to warm up, so it didn’t really fit that he could just topple out of a window and fall into it.

I fear this is what will happen. Poor Jefferson. If you think about it, when someone comes back out of the hat, they probably pop up just like the apple does. But the apple comes up alone. Methinks there’ll only be enough juice left in the hat to lift up that itty bitty apple, and not enough to lift Jefferson.
PS. I heart Charming when he’s being all heroic and willing to die for love and whatnot. Who’s gonna be under that executioner’s hood, coz I doubt it’s actually the executioner. Unless that’s the moment when Regina comes striding in to interrupt proceedings at the last moment?
[adrotate group="5"]May 4, 2012 at 7:37 pm #145488hjbauParticipantIt is too bad if Jefferson didn’t go through the hat. It makes that episode more silly to me if he just ran off really quickly. Why would he do that? I think that Jefferson is most likely going to work with Regina. I hope they make it somewhat believable. Like if she trades his help with the hat for getting his daughter back or something like that. I agree that he should not be doing things with Regina because she will just trick him, but he hasn’t been completely rational about it so far. I like how he stepped quickly away from Regina when she got too close to him.
I don’t think anyone is under that executioner cap. I think they are just going to continue to pan right and show Regina walking through the gate. Maybe she will force throw some guards again. That’s always fun.
I still want to understand more about how all the kingdoms exist together. Like they always just call Regina “The Queen” and everyone just knows who they are talking about. And now we are going to see Regina visit King George and he is going to do as she asks and not kill Charming. Is that just because she has magical power so that makes her kingdom more powerful then his? Or is the Queen’s kingdom just the most powerful kingdom? If it is just because of her magic then why not just put a bunch of arrows through her. We know that Snow’s father had many knights because Snow mentioned them offering condolences when Snow’s father died so the kingdom has to be of some size where it has many soldiers. I want to know more about all that and how the kingdoms interact with each other. I am all about good world building. It is like it is there, but they need to push it a little more.
I thought it was weird that the Blue Fairy said Snow White and the Prince when talking to Geppetto about making cabinet in the last episode because it seems like Snow and Charming are in control of George’s kingdom by that point. And there is the whole “She is not a queen anymore” comment from Snow in The Pilot about Regina. It just seemed like Snow and Charming were the king and queen at that point, but it is all unclear. And George is alive too. Maybe that is why Charming is still the Prince because the King is still alive even though Snow and Charming are running the kingdom.

It occurs to me that perhaps Snow White disguised herself as the executioner. At the last moment, she’ll pop out and defend her man as her companions storm the castle.

I think that i would rather it was the Blue Fairy as a new player in the game, but i know it is going to be Gold.
WHY would Emma help Hatter in the first place?
He drugged Emma
Kidnapped snow
is stalking a little girl
Emma and Hatter had a knock down drag around fight….So what makes you think that Emma would like that NUT JOB… just cause he is cute?
Golly, I hope she has more brains than that.

That hat box was on the shelf in Gold’s shop as August came through the back door in “The Return” . There is a picture posted on the objects thread. Could just be a continuity error. But I am the keeper of Jefferson’s hat and it was there. 😀

Hard to say. Perhaps we wil find out what happened in this episode.

Ditto
This is so interesting. So Regina probably gets the hat from Gold since he had it. And he is saying in the promos all magic comes with a price in the real world probably to Regina. Where did she get a bit of magic though?
Yeah, i think she got the magic from Mr. Gold.
This curse seems to have some customization to it == a “designer” curse

You could definitely say that. But it can also be ‘edited’ once put together. Rumpel’s the one who made the curse in the first place. Then he had Regina (or himself once Regina agreed) add in the provisions regarding his position in the new world. However, Maleficent also held the Dark Curse for a time when Regina traded it for the sleeping potion. Seeing as how the curse is malleable, it now makes me wonder if Maleficent made any adjustments to it as well.

That’s what I was thinking might happen too.

Just went to have a peek at the Objects thread and saw it. Hmmm, seems odd she wouldn’t have held onto it. And why would Mr Gold give it to her? Unless he doesn’t know what it is and that it still contains magic? But surely if Regina asked for any object from the shop, he’d be suspicious and wouldn’t hand it over? Maybe she breaks in with her skeleton keys and steals it? Or maybe he just knows she’ll do that anyway if he refuses to give it to her, so he may as well just give it to her?
May 5, 2012 at 5:52 pm #145556SnickerdoodleParticipantI went back to watch the second promo. Mr. Gold is talking about magic coming with a price. We don’t see who he is talking with though. I guess I am assuming she comes to the shop to get the hat and he has a talk with her. Maybe he has a small quantity of magic left as well, or maybe he helps her find some; but one thing about Mr. Gold is he realizes that things seldom go as planned. He knows there is a price with all magic. Whether or not he sees what is going to happen I cannot say, but I do believe he wants Emma to believe in the end, and is willing to risk the hat for the possibility of something happening that might make that work.

I agree with this assessment of Mr. Gold’s motivations in possibly giving the hat to Regina when she comes calling. It seems like Mr. Gold, who always can read people and still get what he wants, desires for Emma to believe most of all. If he suspects Regina of trying to use the hat to retrieve a poisoned apple, he possibly could anticipate that Henry would intercept the apple, eat it, and thus cause Emma to use her magic to awaken Henry and believe. If that is so, Mr. Gold would be even more impressive than before!

Good point! Now he knows it’s so close to the curse breaking, maybe he’d be willing to risk giving Regina a little magic if he feels it’ll help his cause.
