I’m in the middle of listening to older podcasts and watching episodes on hulu …can someone remind me if Regina can take back the curse of the new personalities? I mean, if the townsfolk need to work together and likely need rumples help, it would make sense that she’d take take it upon herself to take back Belle’s cursed self in order to bring rumple back to HIS old self and help them survive what’s about to take place. Could it be that simple??

Hook totally sussed out who Bae was when he said his father was a “coward”. So Bae believed his mother was murdered by a pirate which is what Rumple probably told him after his first encounter with Hook on the ship. What did Hook say that made Bae be part of his crew?
Hook probably gave Baelfire a choice: either join his crew or step foot on land never to leave there again.
Has Hook told Bae how Milah really died or did he just tell him “a crocodile” killed her?
I think that Hook held that piece of information close to his chest until the right moment arrived. But, I do think Hook eventually told young Bae the truth of what happened to Milha.

Great ideas – maybe it really is that simple!

I don’t know if she could, but I don’t see why should couldn’t
However, I think in a season finale with so many feels, it’s not going to be that simple.
I think Rumple will bring her back through self sacrifice. After so long apart, the need to give us some sort of Rumbelle happiness."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 9, 2013 at 4:04 pm #192458KebParticipantShe told Rumple that HE knew she couldn’t in Lacey, though. She has control over the cursed personalities, but she can’t get rid of them. If she could, she might have reverted Rumple back in Welcome to Storybrooke because she was unhappy with how the curse was going.
I don’t think Regina has that power.
And I’m still on the verge of weeping over his reaction to losing Bae again. He needs hugs!

Excellent point.

The curse of the mermaids is an interesting way to put it. I think that if the mermaids were evil then Hook would have said the wrath of the mermaids or something of the like. It sounds like the mermaids themselves are cursed somehow and could and would have spread it to Bae. Maybe Ariel will break the curse so all of the mermaids can be human too? I don’t know but I am so geared up for this episode that I can’t hardly stand it.
I think Hook meant “curse” as in the mermaids are a curse upon the land/sea. They’re evil creatures that have probably devoured many a sailor. The mermaids are presented as dark creatures in the Peter Pan film starring Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy from Harry Potter). When Wendy calls the mermaids “sweet”, Peter tells her that they’ll “sweetly drown” her.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DA_UubjXWi0 In the Disney version, one of the mermaids says about Wendy “We were only trying to drown her” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YnFABHlw-U8
If the mermaids are generally “dark” creatures, then it makes sense that Rumple could retrieve the squid ink without any harm befalling him because he is “the dark one”.
All magic comes with a price!

Yes the “curse” of the mermaids is an interesting way to phrase it. Maybe they are being held hostage by Ursula like the boys are being held by the Shadow on the island. Maybe Ursula and the Shadow are in league with each other.
With all these of mermaid hints crescendoing, I’m now more convinced we’ll at least catch a glimpse of a certain little mermaid in the finale, and she’ll strongly feature in S3.

May 9, 2013 at 4:11 pm #192462HappyEndingsSpectatorYou know the Charmings never said that Bae was dead but that Bae was so hurt so bad that he fell threw a port hole. I wonder if Gold will go after Henry and blame him for Bae’s disappearance since “Henry, will be Gold’s undoing” ❓
May 9, 2013 at 4:12 pm #192463s. sanchezParticipantGood points, everyone. I wasn’t sure and honestly, with such an action packed ep I’m excited/confused/concerned how’ll they’ll fix the Lacey issue. It better be good, darn it! I want closure before the summer break!!
May 9, 2013 at 4:13 pm #192464angiebelleParticipantI think Rumple has lost the will to live. He blames himself for what happened to both Bae and Belle. He sees that he has an addiction to magic and is thinking that the world would be better off without him. I don’t think he is going to go after Henry at this point- he seems to be at peace with the idea of dying.
Can it please be Sunday? I just have to see how everything turns out!
