Maybe it’s like with Wendy being 19 in real life…they’re hoping they can pull off the younger look with the right clothes etc and then we might see them again older at a later time?
No, RG, you are not (it is perfectly normal and absolutely sane. Welcome to the club!) I’m sure many of us (myself included) feel that way about Rumple too. No worries. 🙂
Interesting idea about him doing that. Not sure how / why he’d have magic but it would be interesting if it manifested itself out of sheer panic.
If he DOES have magic than he either found a way to get rid of it or has done an amazing job at not letting himself use it, even to protect the people he cares about in modern day. If he did manage to get rid of it though (and/or majorly control it to where he never even thinks to use it) I could see that being a positive side down the road for both Rumple & Regina.
*mumbles something about Neal reminding me of Daniel and being ok with a future Neal/Regina relationship if done right down the road…wayyyyy down the long and winding road*

May 9, 2013 at 11:20 pm #192601RumplesGirlKeymasterAnyone wanna set betting that Felix’s real name isn’t Felix that maybe it’s Peter and he and Bae become sworn enemies? And maybe after Bae takes down Felix he becomes the leader of the Shadow and the Shadow’s followers?
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 9, 2013 at 11:24 pm #192603jbfrancisParticipantI hope it’s true that Rumple’s remorse is the game-changer in a good way, but to play devil’s advocate here, what if it’s more a case of Bae later finding out about this situation and that Rumple did absolutely nothing to save anyone? Worse still, what if Rumple actually tries to push the destruction forward???
That being said, I’m positive StoryBrooke survives, and Henry is kidnapped right after. I figure Rumple is the one who puts in a last-minute save where we’ve seen Regina trying to slow down the diamond-destruction. Has to be him or Emma giving Regina a power boost that saves the day. Or dropping the diamond into a portal with a magic bean. Hmm, that actually feels pretty likely. So I’m back to Rumple doing nothing and not being happy with the continued living situation.
And just to further share my confusion; am I the only one who suspects Regina cursed Belle with Rumplestiltskin’s own personality? As in Lacey is a female version of FTL Rumple? Alcoholism signifying his addiction to magic? Lacy is kind of all over the place, sweet, friendly, fun, sinister, greedy, dangerous…All Rumplestiltskin qualities, yes?
I just think that all that time Regina had Belle in the tower, hearing Belle say she loves him, will never give up on him, Regina might be thinking; ‘Honey, you don’t really know the guy.’ And Regina’s revenge is to make Belle know him all too well. When Belle comes back, will she still love Rumple, if she’s BEEN Rumple???
May 9, 2013 at 11:24 pm #192605MysteryKat25ParticipantCould be…unless Felix is just a stand-in name like Rufio for “the Pan” – either way I’m not liking the looks of Felix at the moment though. And the fact that SOMETHING put Bae on the ceiling to avoid him tells me he is bad bad news.

I’ve long believed that Pan was a title that got passed down, so I could see Felix being the Pan, but I think I’m going to maintain that he and Bae are not going to be friends.

Interesting. But I see Lacey as being more akin to Cora than Rumple himself, though Cora and Rumple were an awful lot alike. And Rumple did love her *gags* But it’s Belle who is his true love and I think Belle will still love Rumple regardless of how she acted, but will she be ok with herself and her new mixed identity is my question.

(And you know that even in the most random of threads hide an occasionally brilliant idea of something, even if it’s not where it started sometimes…lol)
Now, I have another question….WHAT is the thing in Felix’s hand? And what exactly does it do?
I agree, Bae will be friends with Hook, not Felix…the guy is after him for some reason (a kid that got away from the shadow is now being hunted by this random guy in a cloak with something in his hand? what the heck is going on??)

This is a fantastic question. I was wonder the exact same thing. It look like a stick, but I’ll be you 100 cookies it’s not just a stick. Did Pan or Rufio or anyone ever have some sort of magical “stick”/wand thing?

I would have said that Cora’s defining characteristic is ‘power-hungry’, and I’m not sure we’ve seen that in Lacey. Wanting to live forever comes close, but it’s not the same as wanting to make people bow.

Perhaps not in the same sense power hungry, but she admires and craves power in others. She was not interested in Gold until she saw him displaying his power (physically) over Keith/the Sheriff. It wasn’t until she realizes that Gold was a very powerful man was she even willing to consider him romantically. And in turn she is interested in what that power can do for her. I don’t think she has any desire to do magic herself, but she likes what magic can do for her.
