You know they tried to have Emma look 18 when she is in her 30’s, and Bae looked like he was 30 not 18 or what ever the age he was suppose to be when he met Emma and it didn’t work for me I didn’t and couldn’t stand to really watch that episode because they just didn’t fit the part for that age group it was really silly. Now they have a 26 year old playing 16 come on is there no actors closer to the 16 year old age bracket he is a man and he looks like a man and not a boy. ❗ It would more challenging and fun if they have someone that is actually closer in age to Bae in my opinion. 👿

If he was the same age as Bae or younger, then he wouldn’t be able to have the authority over the other boys. The actor looks young enough to play a teen IMO. Also with younger actors they have restrictions on how much they can work, so it is a lot easier on directors and production crew if the actor is over 18 but able to play younger.
May 10, 2013 at 1:13 am #192635RumplesGirlKeymasterHowever old he’s supposed to be, Felix sure does look sinister and menacing.

LOST boy?!Why is Hook dealing with what looks like Felix!
Yes, the hooded figure is Felix, played by Parker Croft. He looks as old as Hook; certainly, he doesn’t look like a young boy. Parker is actually 26, not 16 like the casting call said. He’s a man.

They casted who they want and relooking at the casting call it just said three teenage boys, so they didn’t specify ages.
But he does look very…serious and threatening

We’ll have to find out who that cloak guy is….he’s got major creep factor though….just like that shadow.
Yes, I think there is a definite connection between Felix and the Shadow! I wonder if Felix uses that wooden staff to control the Shadow! 😮

I was thinking along the same lines which means our question stops being “what does the Shadow want with those boys” and becomes “why does Felix–who is maybe the leader of the Lost Boys–want those boys and why won’t HE let them leave?”

I could easily believe that Felix either controls the shadow or is the shadow. The question still is why only boys and why Bae specifically? In SSTR, the shadow seemed pretty upset that it had lost Bae to the water. Why does Felix or the shadow want Bae in particular?
Edit: RG beat me to the punch in asking the same questions. 😀

Hmmmm. Maybe possessing the wooden staff is comparable to possessing the Dark One’s dagger. It could be a curse in which the Shadow does Felix’s bidding, and yet the Shadow causes something dark to take root in him. Felix may control the magic, but in an sense, the magic consumes the one who owns the enchanted object.

Hmm. Interesting and of course Bae would recognize the parallels which would lead Bae and Felix not being friends–as I don’t think they will be. So does he need Boys to worship him? A leader needs followers or he is not by definition a leader? Does he have them doing some sort of work–hunting the mermaids?
