I think A and E learned a lot this year and one thing they learned is that splitting up the core cast for so long made the show feel really disjointed. It got to be too much for the casual viewer (in other people, who are not us) to see FTL of the past, FTL of the present and SB of the present. If Rumple and Belle were to stay behind then we’d be seeing FTL of the past, NL of the past, NL of the present (or NL-adjacent whatever that means) and SB of the present because there is no way they’d downgrade RC’s role in this show meaning SB would still have to play a major part.

Agreed. I reckon they’d be crazy to split up Rumbelle again right now. Whatever the state of her memories, they need to be together to work through the hot mess and sort their relationship out.

No doubt that having so many different locations and times made things muddled. I assume they took note of the negative feedback about that and would tweak things to make it easier to follow. Back when season 2 spoilers first started coming out, I remember thinking how potentially confusing it could all get.

There are many ways the finale could end, with different people in different lands. Trying to evaluate all the options makes my head hurt! How many hours until the guessing games are over?! *headdesk*

We’re under 48 hours now! And then we have nothing until July when it starts again. 🙁

Ah, but it will really start all over again as soon as the credits roll and we have a whole new set of things to speculate about. 😉 I feel bad for the spoilerphobes, because at least we’ll be getting new stuff to talk about come July, maybe even end of June if casting calls start leaking. Spoilerphobes will have a much longer hiatus than we will.

We can always hope but we did get a lot of sneak peeks and many interviews. I don’t think they want to give everything away.
