Yeah Sorry about this I realised after I had posted that it was a silly thing to write but was feeling to lazy to fix it.
In my defence we are in the middle of a heatwave here in Aussieland 😳[adrotate group="5"]Good always wins < That's just what Rumplestiltskin wants you to think Keeper of Belle's Theme Music, The Queen of Hearts Maze, Cora's Missing Heart,Tiny's Golden Harp

I’m always suspecting the blue fairy too. I don’t trust her at all.

I’ve heard so many people say that they don’t trust her. But I’m confused as to what she has done that has made people believe that she is untrustworthy. Have I missed something? Is she secretly in allegiance with Regina or Rumple?

For me, it all started with her keeping apart Nova and Dreamy. Sure they had freewill, but it just seemed suspicious that a figure that is supposed to represent good would be so against true love. Yes, I know it’s never happened before with a dwarf, and wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for Nova being so clumsy, but viewers have been told time and time again that true love is so rare and powerful that I don’t know why a figure of good would be so opposed to two people having it and being together because of it.
I know the actress tried to give some excuse that Nova was being trained to be the eventual leader of the fairies after the Blue Fairy was gone, but I think that was just the actress trying to make up motivation for her character since there was no indication of that in the episode. In fact, it seemed like the Blue Fairy and the other fairies may have been happier if Nova was no longer around causing havoc with her clumsiness.
Then, the next major thing for me was how she withheld the truth about how many people could actually fit in the wardrobe. While I’m sure it was just a plot device like the last magic bean or the last magic tree on earth, it just seemed unbelievable that Geppetto was the only person that could craft the magic wardrobe and that he could then successfully blackmail the Blue Fairy. She should have just came right out and told the whole council the truth to make Geppetto look like an asshole instead of letting him bargain with her at all. I mean I understand why he did it, not that I forgive him for his actions, but it just makes the Blue Fairy, imo, look not only weak but deceitful that she was willing to lie by omission, which disproves her whole “fairies never lie” line which means that she could have been lying about other things.
I think it would be more interesting if she has been lying about things this whole time, but I know TheGoldenKey has stated numerous times that K&H have said that she’s not going to turn out to be “bad”. Now I think she just comes across looking dumb then since she’s been wrong about so many things.
First, she tells Rumple that there’s no way that he can ever be with his son because that was the last magic bean, and then she slips up that he could create a Curse that could reunite him. It just seemed highly odd because for someone who was a lot older and who should have been a lot wiser than the Dark One at that point, she should have been smart enough not to give any information away to Rumpelstiltskin that could have reunited with his son. Surely, she probably had the foresight to know that he might chicken out, not that I blame her, but I do blame her for letting it slip right after his son is sucked into the vortex that there might be a way to get together through a curse.
Then, in the second season, viewers find out that the wardrobe could have possibly been recharged and that there are other ways to get to our world. I know that her powers are limited, but I think for a creature that has lived a very long time, her knowledge shouldn’t be that limited. If it was possible for Rumple to get to our world through the wardrobe’s ashes without any curse and with a magical compass, then I think she should have some knowledge of that. It just makes her look either untrustworthy or dumb again, so either way if I were on the Council, I’d have problems believing the Blue Fairy because the opposite almost always seems to happen when she says something.
Like in “Child of the Moon”, if she is “good”, then it’s not her fault that King George flipped out, killed Gus-Gus, and set up Ruby all so he could make Charming look like a bad leader and steal Jefferson’s hat, but again the show makes her look really suspicious because right before he sets his plan in motion which results in Jefferson’s hat being destroyed, she’s all “Just don’t let anything happen to the hat.” I don’t even know how King George found out Charming having Jefferson’s hat. Maybe it’s possible he found out about it through town gossip after Emma and Snow were sucked into it, but it just makes her look suspicious that she’s the only one in the mine that tells Charming to protect the hat and right after that, King George takes it from him and destroys it. There was also a possibility that the ashes of the hat could have worked just like the ashes of the wardrobe did, but again the show presents her as being someone that I would think should know more about magic yet doesn’t.
Further, while this isn’t about magic, and the Dwarves, Charming, Ruby, and everyone else who knew about the diamonds is to blame for not guarding them all the time, I would have thought that at least one person would be smart enough to have a guard there at all times. Now it doesn’t mean that Rumple and/or Regina wouldn’t have knocked out that person or people anyways, but it makes everyone who knew about the diamonds look incredibly stupid including the Blue Fairy.
So at first, at least with me, I just hoped that instead of the Blue Fairy coming across as someone that’s nowhere near as smart as Rumpel or Regina, which is really disappointing since it would have made things more balanced, it was because she was secretly going to be the Big Bad the whole time. After all she did give that whole speech in “The Return” about her being on the right side which doesn’t mean good since a lot of evil leaders believe that they were/are on the right side too. I don’t think they are, which is really disappointing, because I think it would have at least made her interesting. Right now she’s just annoying to me because she’s so one dimensional. They want her to be someone that can help people, which I think would have been good had they explored more that her powers are limited compared to Rumpel’s and Regina’s powers, but instead they give her the characteristic of always being wrong in what she says, so why anyone would actually go to her for help and follow her advice, I do not know.

Wow, thank you so much. I really appreciate you taking the time to write a very descriptive answer. I now fully understand why many people believe that the Blue Fairy is untrustworthy. I never actually thought about her keeping Nova and Dreamy apart, but now I realise why that it’s odd that she wants to stop true love.
With the wardrope I just thought that she had no choice but to go along with it otherwise he wouldn’t have built it. But I never thought that she could have just gotten someone else to do it, or announce his deal he wanted in front of everyone.
Now that you say it, it does sound suspicous that she happen to just slip about creating the curse. Do you think that maybe like Rumple, she just wanted to get to the other land, or get everyone to the other land (our land)? I wonder if she ever confessed to anyone that she was the one who told Rumple about the curse.
As for the hat- I never questioned that it might’ve been the Blue Fairy that told George where the hat was. I’ve been wondering ever since how he found the hat in the first place- but this makes so much sense. I have also been wondering why the diamonds haven’t been guarded. And how they were found in the first place.
I’m now starting to question the Blue Fairy, and I’ll be sure to keep my eye on her for now on. She just seemed so innocent and good, but it’s always the last person you’d expect. And since she has been around a long time, she’s probably an expert at decieving others.
Do you think it might’ve been her that gave Snow the fairy dust, maybe she changed her appearance when she gave it to her? Because as far as I know, it hasn’t been revealed who gave her the fairy dust. And maybe she wanted the Evil Queen dead for her own purposes.
Thanks again!
