We he is a villain. 😆 It is pretty much confirmed that he is going to use Belle to get back at Rumpelstiltskin. Maybe as bait?
But it doesn’t mean that I have to like what he does. I’d be just as upset if Rumpel or Regina shoved a gun in Emma’s face.
Ugh, this episode is going to kill me. 😥

I’m just saying he is a villain, so it is only natural that he would do villainous deeds. 🙂 Everyone is just so surprised that he would do something horrible like that–of course he would. He ripped Aurora’s heart out and worked with Cora of all people.

Like Elle said, he is a villain and that’s what’s expected of him. I imagine though that he will just try to play her, just like he tried with Emma in FTL – pretend he doesn’t actually want to work with Cora and if only Belle helps him, he could help her too or something along these lines.
January 5, 2013 at 8:48 pm #167061PriceofMagicParticipantI think Hook pointing the gun in Belle’s face is going to be in episode 11. I’ve seen a theory, based on the fact in episode 12 Whale has to treat Hook’s injuries and Belle being despondent, that Belle may be the one to injure Hook.

Keeper of FelixJanuary 5, 2013 at 8:49 pm #167062elleParticipantNot sure playing her will work–Belle has enough experience with him to know he is not to be trusted. She may not know that he tried to kill her, but she knows he is not patient ofr good at all. The only person he managed to fool was Princess Aurora, and even then it wasn’t easy–plus, he had her heart, so that must have helped him a bit.
I know Captain Hook has a habit of trying to win people over, but it doesn’t seem to work. 😆 He smiles and flirts, but almost no one seems really interested. Emma ending up chaining him and leaving him behind. And with Cora, he had to prove himself to her before she could trust him again.
With him holding the gun to Belle, I can’t help but think of her as bait. I don’t think his aim is to kill Belle–all of his effort has been focused on Rumpelstiltskin.
I know killing someone’s True Love is the worst thing you can do to someone, but I don’t see him actually killing her–just holding her hostage. Simply because his whole goal has been to kill Rumpelstiltskin–that is what he knew, that is why he went to Neverland, that is what he swore to Rumpelstiltskin. “Even demons can be killed. I will find a way.”
January 5, 2013 at 8:54 pm #167065PriceofMagicParticipantBelle won’t be killed by Hook because she is an important part of Rumple’s arc. I think Hook underestimates Belle. He thinks she’s just a pretty face that he can use to get what he wants.

I don’t think the concern is over Hook, it’s for Belle. Minor characters are always at risk for being killed off. Graham, Archie (possibly), and even little Henry was at risk for being killed off last season. So, I think people are just nervous because they don’t want anything bad to happen to Belle. 😉

Exactly. I’m not the least bit surprised that Hook would do this. My main worry lies with Belle. She’s a series regular, but still a minor of enough character that she could possibly die at some point. So, when a character points a gun to her face, I get nervous. But I’m not surprised by Hook’s violent behavior, I’m just concerned for Belle’s safety. I have an unhealthy attachment to that girl. 😳
January 6, 2013 at 12:25 am #167094elleParticipantI guess I understand. Personally I’m not too worried about Belle. She knows who Captain Hook–his real name and she has an idea of what he wants. She has seen that he can be violent when pushed. So she knows that she is dangerous.
Plus, Rumpelstiltskin will protect her. I get that Captain Hook is dangerous, but Rumpelstiltskin is more so–he has magic and more experience then Captain Hook has. It has been seen pretty easily what he does when he thinks someone is responsible for hurting the people that he loves.
