I agree. How do you deal with someone who is so volatile that any option, really, will result in a war?

In answer to this question, I don’t think there’s a great chance for Regina’s recovery unless magic is forcibly removed from her. I have a little bit more hope for Rumple if he can ever get the real Belle back. Otherwise, he’s on a dark path at the moment.
Maybe if the Charmings, Rumple, Regina, Bae, and Henry all went to another world, they would find a “neutral” zone. If say, magic works differently in Neverland, so that both Regina and Rumple are powerless, they might stand a chance to tolerate each other and sort of start over. (Doubtful, but still a maybe in my book). Plus, I think this is precisely the scenario we'll see in S3.

I too think this will be a big plot of S3

Regina on the other hand will try to help, don’t forget Gold was willing to sacrifice Snow and Emma at the well but Regina didn’t because of Henry.

That’s possible. The titles for the last two episodes could just mean we’ll see flashbacks of NL.

While everything you just said of Mr. Gold was true in the past, the main thing that has changed for him is Baelfire is now back in the picture. Whereas before, Mr. Gold wouldn’t have cared the least bit about the Charmings or Henry, he now wants to keep his son in his life. Killing his own grandson would cause irreparable damage to his quest to have his son back. Also, Mr. Gold now owes Prince Charming a favor, which could be to save his family. Well, there is going to be a major game changer in 2×21. Maybe Mr. Gold will stand idly by, forever damaging his relationship with his son, but perhaps the game-changer is that he'll actually act heroically to help Henry, which could be his “undoing” if GOAT manages to steal the Dark One's powers without killing Rumple.

April 25, 2013 at 5:31 pm #188693HappyEndingsSpectatorWe know that Emma is getting more to do in the last few episodes of the season, but Adam and Eddy confirmed that Emma’s magic will come into play in the end of Season 2. Hopefully, this happens in a suitably epic way. Emma seems to have a lot of untapped power that could potentially rival Regina and Rumple’s
Finally, the prophecy about Henry being Rumple’s “undoing” will “definitely” come into play in the end of Season 2, said Adam and Eddy. Last time we saw Rumple, he was seemingly embracing his dark side. This does not bode well for Henry.
See I don’t see Rumple changing he may pertend but that is about it.

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 25, 2013 at 5:36 pm #188695KebParticipantIf he actually wanted to hurt Henry, a, he would’ve already done it, and b, that nightmare wouldn’t have scared him into seeking out the one thing he thinks can make him Good. He likes having power because it makes him feel safe, but he doesn’t actually want to be evil. He never did.
Keeper of Belle's Gold magic, sand dollar, cloaks, purple FTL outfit, spell scroll, library key, copy of Romeo and Juliet, and cry-muffling pillow, Rumple's doll, overcoat, and strength, and The Timeline. My spreadsheet: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6r8CySCCWd9R0RUNm4xR3RhMEU/view?usp=sharing
April 25, 2013 at 5:41 pm #188696RumplesGirlKeymasterCan you imagine me with those power, Bae? I could it turn it towards good. I could save all the children of the frontlands.
A Desperate Soul
Agreed with Keb. He never actually wanted to be evil, magic takes over and then he lost Bae and sank further out of desperation. Look at Regina. I think Slurpeez is correct. If Regina has her magic taken away, it’s going to do wonders with her overall craziness.
I think he is going to be sorely tempted into hurting Henry, but I think he will stop himself. And I think that in turn is going to make him realize that he can’t just choose darkness and Lacey; that he really wants is Belle and goodness. And once he reaches that conclusion, he’ll tell Lacey that can’t be together and that level of sacrifice is going to stir Belle in her and she’ll kiss him and TLK. Do you think that TLK works in Storybrooke on the Dark One curse? AngieBelle asked that on Twitter this morning and I’ve been wondering about it. It didn’t work when Belle and Rumple kissed after she found him in SB. I was thinking that he might have to give up his Dark One-ness if he kissed her with TLK. Confusing. Does it only work in the EF? On the Dark One, not on others – we have seen it work on David after the sleeping curse.
