I don’t know if there is a photo of the bean in the book or not just guessing because of the Giant story might be there but could be wrong. You know I think that girl said was the only that said that the Blue Fairy is powerful no one else has made that comment and because of that we all assume the BF could do something but apparently not. 😥
[adrotate group="5"]May 27, 2013 at 2:51 am #196231RumplesGirlKeymasterThat’s a good point. We’ve all been taking on faith what Morraine said as canon, but she could have just perceived that the BF was super powerful because that’s what she heard. She never actually saw anything Blue did or has first hand experience. The myth of the Blue fairy could just be that: a myth. She could, in all honesty, just be the head fairy but not as powerful as people make her out to be.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 27, 2013 at 8:52 pm #196316PriceofMagicParticipantWhat if the Morraine we saw tell Bae about the Blue Fairy was not the real Morraine? It seemed a bit odd that she said she wasn’t afraid of Rumple then quickly scarpered as soon as she heard Rumple coming back. THe Blue Fairy already knew Bae’s name even though it was supposedly the first time she met him and Morraine was wearing blue clothing. Considering none of the characters on the show are purely good or purely evil but have shades of grey, it would seem odd to have the Blue Fairy as the one character who never does wrong, who always helps others etc, it makes her sound like a Mary-Sue.
All magic comes with a price!

I wouldn’t worry about that too much, as long as the Blue Fairy always remain a very secondary character and doesn’t take the spotlight from the cast we really care about she can be as black and white as one can be. Her being regularly used as a Deus Ex Machina is far more annoying, both her roles, on or off-screen, in “Selfless, Brave and True” and “And Straight On Till Morning” are regarded as some of the worst writing for the season. Convenient appearances are convenient. 🙄

May 27, 2013 at 9:19 pm #196327HappyEndingsSpectatorIn Fairy Tale Land, Rumplestiltskin and Baelfire walk through the woods when they come upon a group of kids playing. Rumple encourages him to join them while he attends to some business. But when Baelfire tries to join the kids, they run away for fear of getting on the wrong side of Rumplestiltskin. He sits on a log, dejected. Morraine, the girl who was taken off to war at the top of episode 108, doesn’t run and sits down next to him. She tells him she’s not afraid of his father because she knows Baelfire won’t let him hurt her. Actually, Morraine doesn’t think he’s so bad and recounts how she saw him on the battlefield when he stopped the fighting. It was like a miracle. He knows but says his papa is getting worse every day. Rumple told him he’d change back if he found a way. Then Morraine comes up with an idea for him, “Ruel ghorm.” She tells him Ruel ghorm is an ancient being that rules the night, “The original power.” When she hears Rumple coming back she wishes good luck to Baelfire and leaves with haste. Baelfire notes that his father has returned with blood stains on his boots
Ok she said the orginal power not the most powerful person also why wouldn’t she just say BF instead of “Ruel ghorm ❓ Also, rules the night kind of like PP huh ❓
May 27, 2013 at 9:21 pm #196329RumplesGirlKeymasterRuel Ghorm is what she heard the soldiers calling the BF. It means Blue Star.
And she heard the soldiers says original…but she never saw it. So, her telling of the BF is not original and is based on hearsay.

I have to agree about BF coming in to “save the day.”. As happy as I was to see our Belle return, It’s been bothering me more and more that it was too easily achieved. Here we were all speculating about Rumple having to earn Belle and having to do something to make Belle love him, but here Grumpy appears with a little blue bottle and all it took was the reincarnation of Chip, which I was also thrilled to see. Being glad to see certain things happen does not mean that we are happy with the way they happened. Thankful that RC and EdR acted the whatever out of that scene anyway, but still… 🙄
