so I started rewatching season 1 with a friend and it was good timing because it really put a lot of what snow and charming did in perspective. Everyone seems to talk about villains redeeming themselves and yes villians is just a label and so is hero because there are actuslly many shades of grey besides sheriff Graham’s alter ego Christian grey. Any way I think this time what I like about the charmings’ story is is the hero’s time to be redeemed. Regina killed countless number of people and slaughter villages and is working towards and maybe has gotten redemption so snow and charming should get it too. One of the famous quotes from season 1, “believing in even the possibility of a happy ending” is a powerful thing” took on such new meaning after this weeks episode. For everyone even snow and charming believing is key. They realized they made a mistake and decided to to work towards being good and to earn back their happy ending. Something “villians” haven’t done is realize their mistake and snow and charming did realize it and they are dealing with the consequences but they aren’t letting stealing the baby take them down a dark path, they make mistakes like everyone else. I feel like Emma is the voice of the audience and the audience has been told this is the perfect couple snow and charming. I like to believe that in a perfect world. This half season has shattered our sight and Emma ‘s (shattered sight hehe) on expectations. I think a lot of people think of their parents not doing anything wrong and I don’t think Emma is any different. I just wanted to say I like this story with the charmings.
One thing that would have been a cool what if is if snow and charming went through the portal upon finding out lily is a baby and raised her and Emma as sisters in our world but then the show would be very different.
